I was only able to watch the 2nd half of the Augie-Marietta game, but that was amazing. Really hope that they can bring home a national championship this year. In any event, that was a great performance tonight. Shaun was at the game soaking it in. I'll bet that was a fun game to be at. Does anyone know if the final four games will be video streamed?

Congratulations for Augie, IWU, and Elmhurst for their spots in the tournament. I am sorry that UMHB didn't have a very good year this year. Since I live 3 minutes from that campus and both of my kids have attended there, I follow them more closely than the CCIW teams for the most part these days. I saw the Augie coaches at Shaun's wedding this fall; it was great to catch up with them a little. I am looking forward to seeing how the CCIW does in the games ahead. Hope all of you on the board are well and having great years.

Hey Mr. Ypsi, thanks for the reply. I think I was referring to the tournament championship not the CCIW. To be honest, I haven't checked to see who won that, so thanks for the update. As far as UMHB getting to host and getting a bye, I was thinking the same thing minus the plane trip. I'm not sure how that all works. I'm just thankful for another home game to go to.
My nephew was Shaun Clements; he played for Augie. He loved his time there and made some great friends that he still spends a lot of time with.
It will be fun to see how the CCIW teams do the tournament. I will be rooting for them; I don't have a clear favorite. I hope at one of them gets into the final four or takes it all. I don't think UMHB will go deep into the tournament from what I have seen so far. One of their best players is out with an injury and if he doesn't make it back for the tournament, they would be a true cinderella team if they made it to the final four. It will be fun to see how it all plays out.

Congratulations to IWU, Wheaton, and NC for their selection into the NCAA tournament. I'm disappointed that Augie couldn't pull off the win in the CCIW tournament to get in, but the Cardinals have played well all season long and they deserve the championship. This is a definite out of conference question, but does anyone know why UMHB would get a bye over Concordia and a home game, since Concordia beat them in the final game of the ASC tournament? I guess I should outline my interest in UMHB. My daughter graduated from there; since we've retired from the military, we live about 3 miles from the university; my husband works there; and my son will be entering UMHB either this fall or next fall. So, we've become big Cru fans. I've been an occasional lurker on your board, but haven't followed too closely lately. I pray that you are all well.

I went to see UMHB play last weekend and it was kind of bittersweet. The last time I went to a game, I was able to connect with WheatonC for the first time. He was passing through this part of Texas, and we met up at the game. It was a joy to meet a brother and fellow Chicago area native. I'm glad he's home now, but he is missed on this board. My prayers are with his family.

Congratulations to Augie on a great season. It is disappointing to see them miss the trip to Salem, but they had a great year.

70-57 Augie wins. Good run by the Cru. They will be a force for the next couple of years. Augie is on to the Elite 8. I hope they can win against St. Thomas and move on to Salem.

Congratulations to Steve Djurickovic on willing the Joston award. To say that Carthage is going to miss him next year is a massive understatement.
I can't wait for the game tonight between Augie and UMHB; it's going to be fun. Below is the link to the live video stream. You can also listen to the game via live audio and keep track with the live stats. Those links are all posted below.

Thanks Augie22, Bethany told me I "Would do no such thing." I think I'm going to listen to the game and keep my thoughts and emotions to myself. Have fun at the game, and tell Coach G and Shaun that I said hello.

Ok AugieFan, I'm here to help with the hype. I love Augie and have been following them since my nephew played for the team. However, I am in a conundrum here. My daughter goes to UMHB. I live 3 miles down the road from the school. I know dozens of UMHB students. I will wear purple/gold/white on Friday and root for them both. Hopefully, both Shaun and Bethany will understand. I really wish that I could be at the game.

Hi Ralph. Next week's game is going to be fun to listen to and hard at the same time. I'm not sure who to root for.
Sorry. I was being insensitive. I know it must have been really hard to have McMurray that close to going to the Sweet 16. I was amazed that they came back from 10 down to pull within a basket in the last few seconds. I was following the live stats from both games, and at one point both games had about 3:00 minutes to go. During that time, Augie tied Hope near with a few seconds left and went into overtime and played almost all of the 5 minute overtime to win. McMurray and UMHB took almost all of that same amount of time to finish up the game. I never saw 2 minutes pass that slowly in a basketball game before. It would have been a good game to watch.
I'm sorry again. McMurray did a great job winning the ASC conference this year.

Next week my daughter's school, The University of Mary Hardin Baylor, will play Augie in Rock Island. UMHB is about 3 minutes down the road from my house in Belton, Texas. It's going to be very hard to root against either of them for me. Congratulations to both schools for advancing to the Sweet 16.
Tough loss for IWU tonight. I'm sorry that they did not advance.
