Not once in the history of sports has this ever been true.  I don't care how many times ESPN, No Fear, and coaches of JV High School teams repeat it.

Sorry Q, have to disagree.  Saw it firsthand with my 8th grade girls volleyball team last year.

Been a long offseason, but it's good to be back on the boards.

I'm still looking forward to meeting you Pep.  It just won't be this year.

A friend of mine had a great idea: Distribute cards that can only be stamped at the gate to a game. In order to go to Cortaca, you'll need to go to at least 50% of home games. So this season, with five games, you'd need to attend three games in order to purchase a ticket to the game. The more stamps you have, the sooner you can buy your tickets (5 before 4) To me, this ensures that the true fans are the ones who get to enjoy Cortaca, whereas the typical drunk undergrad who wouldn't know Jeff Wittman from a whole in the wall will have to hope tickets become available.

Now, a certain number of Alumni tickets can be made available, and, students that go to at least 75% of home games will have the option of purchasing guest tickets. This way, again, it's the real fans that get rewarded, not the ones who show up after kegs and eggs and before the late afternoon pre party

I like their option now of making some alumni tickets available, although I'm not sure how many were set aside.  I haven't been able to make it to a game yet this season, but it sounds like Ithaca is having more than enough issues trying to get students to attend.  Making it mandatory to get a stamp is just going to add to the problem.

I like the wild atmosphere that Cortaca creates...outside of when the IC stands start chanting Cortland3x...you suck after a huge completion/touchdown.  It's a great opportunity for us alumni folks to get together, and I sit by fans who know their stuff and we can talk football, but love the electricity all around.  So I say let's go, enjoy some football, and join us for a beer or two if you want.  Go Bombers.

Cortaca tix sold out in less than 14 minutes from the ETIX site if any Bomber faithful were looking.  Hopefully you guys recieved a decent amount to sell through your own campus.  ???

I picked mine up through the ic alumni site this afternoon.  Not sure how many were made available for us oldheads, but self-preservation means I'll be at the game!

Pep hasn't been invited to any weddings in awhile. Pep has been "Best Man" on two occasions, but, sad to say, his performance couldn't match this guy who's been nominated for membership in the LLPP by JT.

I'm sitting in the Denver airport now, about to head off to Jamaica for a wedding.  I'm hoping to see something like that this weekend!

Softball season's almost over in Colorado.  State tourney will be tomorrow and Saterday.  Our team got seeded second, so if you're bored Pep....I doubt it'll be on webcast, but you can keep up with Legacy Lightning as we try to repeat as state champs.

I haven't been on in a couple weeks, so I'm sorry if this has already been brought up, but is there any word on Cortaca tickets?

did the one on the right dance at IC?

She was dancing for the Wizards last I knew.  Nice work with the ESPN2 reference.

2) If our offense was an ice cream flavor, it would be Vanilla. Make that reduced fat, sugar-free vanilla. In a dish, not a cone. I liked the end-around on the first drive, but after that IC did absolutely NOTHING to keep Fisher's defense off-balance. It looks like we have three running plays: off-guard left, off-guard right, dive. No counters, no stretches, no tosses. How about a draw or inside handoff out of the shotgun to keep the defense honest? How about a screen on a 2nd-and-long when Fisher brought the blitz so frequently? Has the coaching staff ever heard of WR screens or bubble screens. You would think they have considering how often we've been gashed by those plays in the last 4 years.

I could not agree with you more gb15

back to Juvan for a second... I was think last night about what his record in big games...

against Cortland he is 1-1
against Fisher he is 0-3
I am only going to give him one of the wins against Springfield so he is 1-0
he is 1-1 against alfred
and 1-1 against Wick...
and 0-1 against mount union
so in 11 big games in his career he is 4-7 that sucks

Hartwick had a good season in '07, but I'm not sure I would call that a big game yet.  I'm guessing you're not counting Springfield last year with Hey pride being under .500 in conference and overall.  Maybe it's just because I haven't been able to see many games for the last few seasons, but I don't see getting amped up to play 'Wick like I would the other teams.  I may throw Springfield in there too.

Fish has established themselves, so has Alf, MU isn't too shabby, and Cortland's a rivalry game.

Iceman, did you sport the orange hat, or pass it off yesterday?

Is the Man in Yellow Hat anywhere near Yuma or SoCal?

Was in Tempe for three years.  Am teaching up in Denver now though.  Just remembered you being in downtown Phoenix before, so the weather forecast for Yuma left me wondering.  MIYH remembers his trips back to upstate NY during his tenure in Arizona...it was brutal.  He felt like he needed his parka and hat while others were walking around in t-shirts or hoodies.
