Congrats to Wartburg on the honors, very impressive. I talked to one of the Simpson coaches and Logan Schraeder and Bobby Brown ended up tying for Offensive MVP of the conference but the tie breaker was head to head match up so Schraeder ended up winning that tie breaker due to Wartburg beating BV. Interesting. Best of luck to the Knights in playoffs!

Warthog
I can't imagine a 5-2 team is acting that confident when playing a 7-0 team. It sounds more along the lines that since the Wartburg BV week is a big week traditionally for both teams that the fans of each side are trying to talk up each other's team. Typical for supporters of a football team to talk up their team. If BV fans believe its going to be a close game then I'm all for that, it'll be nice for someone to finally challenge Wartburg if what they're saying is somewhat true.

Notlongago, I have to agree with you and go back on what I previously said. I agree 4-3 is a mediocre season definitely and that's what they had the previous two seasons and very well be what they could end with once again. They have the talent to excel in the conference but can't seem to get it going.

Pretty interesting/cool for the IIAC, BVU's QB Bobby Brown and RB Dylan Barrett are one of two QB/RB units who have thrown for 2,000 and ran for a 1,000 this far this season

They've had at least a 14 point lead in the 4th in almost all of those games and I'd consider Dubuque to be one of the top teams in the conference despite their record after 4 conference games, they could easily win out. BV Wartburg will be closer than most imagine, last year I saw was a 29-37 game, with it being 21-24 after 3. While Wartburg has clearly improved since then, so has BV. I guess I'm just hoping for a close, competitive, fun game with a great offense going against a great defense.

Game 5 of conference play
Coe (2-2) v Luther (1-3) should be a very close game. I'll take Luther in this one.
Central (3-1) should handle Simpson (0-4) fairly easily this week.
I'll take Dubuque (1-3) over Loras (1-3).
Then, what it could come down to the conference champion:
Buena Vista (4-0) hosts Wartburg (4-0), as the top offense in the conference goes against the top defense in the conference. This should be an interesting one. Thoughts?
Coe (2-2) v Luther (1-3) should be a very close game. I'll take Luther in this one.
Central (3-1) should handle Simpson (0-4) fairly easily this week.

Which team has the most difficult pre-conference schedule?
I'd go with Buena Vista with having the hardest. They start off with Wisconsin-Platteville whose ranked #11 by d3football, Concordia-Moorehead who received votes, then #8 Bethel

Is anyone shocked the UW-Platteville got the nod at #9 for preseason by usatodaysports? Thoughts?

Conference Only:
Central 6-1
Coe 5-2
Buena Vista 5-2
Wartburg 5-2
Dubuque 4-3
Simpson 2-5
Luther 1-6
Loras 0-7
As far as I'm aware for starting QB's:
Simpson = Taylor Nelson
Buena Vista = Bobby Brown
Central = Aaron Eiseler (I'm assuming)
Wartburg I'm guessing will have a quarterback battle between JJ Hanus and Logan Schrader
Dubuque, Coe, and Luther graduate their starters and not many people have talked about who they have heard will be the starter for them this upcoming season
Central 6-1
Coe 5-2
Buena Vista 5-2
Wartburg 5-2
Dubuque 4-3
Simpson 2-5
Luther 1-6
Loras 0-7

I'm a little behind on the Wisconsin boards so this question might have already been answered but with UW-P playing 2 IIAC schools, I was wondering who the QB for UW-P will be this upcoming season?

try not to be biased towards your favorite school but what team are you most interested in seeing in how they progress in the offseason with the people they return or the new guys having to fill in for graduating seniors?
