Awesome wrap up to the Panther Nation Blog - reviewing the renaissance of Midd Basketball - great job Damon and Jeff!

A couple of shout outs to some my favorite Midd players over the last several years:
Mike Walsh and Andrew Harris - the guys who started the team in the right direction through their leadership and hard work
Aaron Smith - no one could stop him when he had the ball on the block - a beast
Ben Rudin - a winner - always wanted the ball in his hands when the game was on the line
Ryan Wholey - smooth as silk - made the game look easy when running the lane
Tim Edwards - the best in your face defender I have seen in the NESCAC - just loved watching him play

Why on earth would Bowdoin want a time out at that point anyway?   This win is huge - big swing in the standings - difference between home and away in first round.

As we search for a little more defense and rebounding up here in Vermont took a trip down memory lane and was thinking back to the '09-'10 team when Midd trotted out a lineup of Locke, Edwards, Thompson, Sharry, Wolfin, Davis and Wholey.  Three NESCAC defensive players of the year all on one team.

Not sure which was more of a surprise the home loss by Midd to Bridgewater State or Scranton.  Both were crushing.  Wonder how many of the Panther's losses the last several years were only one possession - Panther Nation must know that?

ugh - the Heat are the most unlikable team I have ever seen - especially Wade - would like to see Duncan win one more.

It's fun to compare teams from different eras as if it were a Madden game - that Midd team is definitely in the conversation because they could always hang around even if they had an off night on offense.  They were so tough on the defensive end leading the country in defensive FG% and blocking an amazing 8 shots a game.  Also Old Guy don't forget Ryan Wholey who started for that Midd team and averaged 10 points game.

Leaf - that's funny because I could easily root for WIlliams and Mike Maker who is a class act BTW - just not your Jeffs - sorry for the vitriol didn't mean to hurt your feelings.  Grab - I also think Amherst will win just don't want them to.
