Good luck to the Scots.
It is an economic one because the environmental one the corn lobby uses holds no basis on fact.

Are you suggesting I am wrong about ethanol or just that your economic ox would be gored if the public knew the truth about the net negative impact of ethanol on the environment? Feed corn to animals, eat corn, don't process it unless taxpayers don't subsidize it.
NOw back to MWC Hoops. LU won't be in the tourney. I predict SNC will rise above the static and win the conference tourney. Good luck to all.

The scottieposts have been few and far between since I hadn't had a chance to watch the team much. That will change Saturday as there is a 90+ percent chance of a scottiesighting in Glennie Gym. (You're welcome, Pat.) A little MWC haiku for old times sake....
What the heck, Cheeseheads?
Ever heard of ethanol?
Get used to Glennie.
Ethanol is bad for the environment

Monmouth is a long drive, Ripon and SNC should want to host to save some gas ⛽️

He had 15 off the bench against us. He's pretty quick and his penetration into the lane gave us some problems. He ended with four assists which he got feeding inside when he'd beaten his defender forcing another defender to step up and stop him. Platteville shot well against us overall but it was bolstered by a bunch of shots in the lane and at the basket. Shields did more than his fair share of creating that.
He certainly looks to be a good get for Gard and the Pioneers.
Dramatic flopper too. Hit floor twice last night untouched for FT. Bad officiating all night. Both ways.
Get over it. Flopping is part of the game at all levels now and officials do not decide basketball games. Boots makes that uncontested lay-up in the final minute last night and UWO, sorry "OshVegas", goes on to win that game you are singing a different tune.
He was hammered and Mr. Clean was unable to see it. Sorry reality bites.

I finally believe that Platt and UWSP are the two best teams in this league, a cut above the next three. Definitely not what we were expecting, but the results speak for themselves.
Oshkosh shot 2/21 from 3 and last minute several obvious fouls went uncalled. Tough to say who is better. One thing is for sure, that ref crew took the pace of the game to a snails pace. Called all kinds of ticks and tacks both ways. Don't let these guys ref any key games in the tourney. The 5'8" guard for PV carried them. Also a flopper. Mixed feelings walking out of Kolf. Have to beat them in the WIAC tourney.

While Augie is definitely in Rock Island, my understanding was that Carver was just across the city line in Moline.
No need to apologize. If you are driving in from the East, you get signs for Moline, but you do not necessarily get a sign that you are entering Rock Island. And, in the neighborhoods around campus, there is no other way to distinguish between the two communities.
The entire state is bankrupt. But I appreciate the geography lesson. Details matter.

And I suggest you calm down a bit snc. I am not familiar with the posting history in the MWC room so your "as mentioned previously............" doesn't do anything for me. I just asked a simple question thinking there might be a compelling argument for SNC's inclusion that I was missing. That's all. No need for you to get so bent out of shape. If that's your reaction to such a simple question, I sense you might have a stroke should anyone lob a difficult one in your direction. And by the way, my reading comprehension is fine, but thanks for asking.
You aren't familiar with posting history in this room because you purposefully ignored my response earlier this month in which, again I underscore your lack of comprehension skills, where I essentially AGREED WITH YOU in response to a post of yours (link below). To have an argument, two people need differing opinions. So if you want to keep howling at the moon and throw shots despite being in agreement, be my guest. Like I said, I'd go talk to someone if I were you. I don't understand the hate. I sincerely hope you find inner peace in your life soon.

Can you two slow this down a bit, I only have an undergrad degree from UW. Comprehension was secondary to militancy during my time there.

LU with a nice effort without Ben Peterson for an OT win over the Grinnell College fouling machine.

What bothered me about how the officials responded was that they disregarded his obvious intent. It's one thing to commit a hard foul, and it's another thing altogether to knock a player to the floor and then stand over him for several seconds, glaring down at him with a macho, "Yeah, I've just put you on your ass. Whaddya gonna do about it?" look. The officials didn't respond to that at all, which disappointed me because it not only left open the potential for that provocation to turn into something worse, it also revealed the intent behind the foul itself. They didn't even come over right away to intervene (my initial worry was that this incident would bring somebody off of the NPU bench, as it took place right in front of that part of the sideline); they waited until Jason Hines had walked over and brushed past Knobloch as a bodyguard gesture before they scrambled over towards the NPU bench and separated the players. Given that context, the intent behind the hard foul by Knobloch on Lake under the west basket after Josh Washburn's steal at about the 5:00 mark of the second half should've been obvious.
Just watched that play. Starts at about 30:25...

Didn't Lake kick Knobloch? Isn't that what Knobloch stared at him for? Instead of "Yeah, I've just put you on your ass. Whaddya gonna do about it?" wasn't it more "Why TF did you just kick me?"
You 100% sure you are describing this accurately/fairly?
I can't believe that was the play we have had pedantic conversation about.
Two kids were a little heated during a game, bumped each other and gave each other the look. Knoblach didn't even stand over him. He walked around him and got away immediately, while giving him the look. So what, they are competitors. This isn't "Goon Ball" in my eyes. If it happened more frequently maybe I would be worried. Reading the quotes it sounds like their is no bad blood between the two players, they moved on...
"Bumped each other"? Watch it again. One tackled the other, albeit in the context of trying to steal the ball. And to see the full context of what's behind this, you need to see Knobloch's shove of Lake at the 1:14:22 mark in the second half.
CCIW must be a softer league than it used to be.
