I think the best part about this is that no one is absurdly backing E&H on their bloated attendance figures.  E&H Dad doesn't live on here supporting it.

Their voices silent, everyone pretty much agrees E&H attendance figures are bogus.

Hello from Charleston, SC.  Actually, the Quakers did get a few stops, but still gave up 56!  There was an interception, but they couldn't capitalize and at least two or three punts.  In my opinion, the facet of the game that hurt them the most was huge returns on kickoffs!  HSC was operating with a short field the whole night!  It was really frustrating to watch.  As I said before, Hampden-Sydney's Offense impressed me, but Guilford's Defense and Special Teams need to step up.  I have seen much better efforts.  As Quakes75 said, it's your team #40 - show these guys your proven Senior leadership.

I was thinking more about the need for a running game to help keep the clock running knowing the offense is so potent.

Live by the sword, die by the sword.  Guilford seems content on a shootout.  The best way to keep the opposing offense down is to keep them off the field.

Mitchell was well-regarded coming out of high school and earned his spot at the QB after a year as a WR.  For Dickinson, it's been a growth in the offense after YEARS, probably more like decades, of RUN RUN RUN.  The stats this year show they can do both, or one more than another, on demand.

Early postseason advantage to the winner in Saturday's game.

This week as in next week? Poll is out for this week.

Initially, I was thinking this week, but even a big win v. LaGrange could do it

I have a feeling BC might actually lose votes this week as their opponents' records pan out.

Dickinson's Biddle Field is practically a historic landmark.  It was modeled after Philadelphia's Franklin Field - the brick facade specifically - and constructed in the early 1900s.

Following Jim Thorpe's monster performance in the Stockholm Olympics, the celebration to welcome him back to country.  I'm a fan.

Hopkins' stadium is one of the largest in D3, and it naturally loses that aura considering it's never filled for football.

Just a heads-up gang...

Yours truly will not be penning the Around the Mid-Atlantic column this year.  A good portion of my extracurricular activities have shifted to my horse racing passion.

It's been a pleasure and I'll still pop my head in from time to time, and hope to provide some playoff broadcasting services.

Stone Station - sound off!!!

This may have been discussed in the past...

BUT...

Who is wearing the Washington & Lee hat in the background on ESPN's Pardon the Interruption?  I have no clue.

Oh and I almost never do this but...

We'll see you in Salem again next year.  I mean, my goodness, Micheli is a soph, Kmic a soph, Garcon a jr, Boehm a jr and he will play a bigger role next year.  They return two linemen plus another two that were starters early in the year before season ending injuries.  Defensively, they will miss both ends, but have a cpl really good young guys.  They return both LB's, and most of the secondary with some really good, young, fast guys wanting playing time.  This team may not be this loaded from one year to the next since the '96 season going into '97.  They are going to be scary good next year.  I am ready already.

Time for this talk to begin...

Are you ready for 65-7 wins over Muskingum and Heidelberg?   I mean, MUC will be incredible next year...and yet I doubt I will be too excited to see them play until, maybe, the third week of the playoffs.

How could you not say that Ric...

Kmac offered be a proposition last night.  5-1 odds I get all of D3, he gets Mount Union.  I declined.

Picking Mount Union might be the smartest idea, but it certainly lacks uniqueness.  Those predictions are for entertainment purposes only...and of course we will be asking you again...but realistically...anyone who picked UWW could have easily picked MUC and felt very comfortable with that.  It should be noted my "official" full playoffs prediction had Mount/UWW with MUC winning and 53 total points...not bad.

I said this in our post game show...The only surprise about Mount Union is that they don't surprise you, and that you can never be surprised by anything they ever do.

I've picked against MUC all but once in my Stagg Bowl predictions, and when I didn't (2005) - I won.  But I don't find that too fun.

I rather just have a good time in Salem and enjoy the game and perhaps, be SURPRISED when someone jumps up and beats MUC.

When I was positive Mount was going to win...12 minutes before the game, Whitewater's assistant coaches came out of the locker room, grabbed their headsets and were practically coaching with no one on the field.  Mount's sideline was empty.  It remained that way until the teams came out...UWW's offense for the first 20 minutes played like the deer in headlights they were in 2005.

I noted the play clock running out on the play...it had been at 0 for a good second and a half or so.

From my angle, on the field, it did not appear that Garcon had possession on the catch that was overruled.  I had been shielded from the Stanley catch.

Classic weekend in Salem...

Stone Station was better than ever - quite raucous at times too...communion was classic.

Good times - glad to see so many there.

Wheaton missed a 3 at the buzzer, falling to Division I Northwestern (Big Ten) by 2 points.  The Thunder led most of this game.

Wow.

Wow is right Bob.  Northwestern isn't exactly Utah Valley State or UC-Riverside in the D1 ranks.  A CCIW over a Big Ten would be MAJOR.  As the score stands, it almost counts as a win to me.
