What's the feeling around Belton/ locker room for this rar FNL game for the Cru? Not living in Belton anymore is killing me not being able to go to all the games.

I was watching the stream last night and all I could hear for the first quarter was the tlu crowd. Couldn't tell if Jase was off due to wet weather or just off. Multiple missed throws and quite a few mishandled snaps. I didn't see any umbrellas, but that doesn't mean much. Anybody go that has some insight?

UMHB fans

I said a while back that I'd like to see Mount  and UMHB meet in the Stagg Bowl. 91-7?
Never mind. Maybe We can play (insert name of stinky team here). Damn! Oh what the hell, Go Cru! ☠🏈
Did you watch the game? Felt kind of bad for Albright. As I told my IPC classes yesterday, "an object in motion tends to stay in motion until..." and there was nothing equal or greater coming from Albright today. That's 1300+yds given up by their defense in 2 weeks. not a good way to start.

Drove up to the game...
Albright is an extremely young team, and there was a huge size and speed disparity at almost every position.  What really did Albright in was the speed of UMHB.  They haven't seen anything like that and it showed.

They seemed to be handling it well on the sideline...they'll be ok:)
Well, the game should certainly slow down for them now.
It will....and I don't remember seeing anyone (especially from the MAC) thinking/saying otherwise.
I recall writing that I would be shocked if UMHB didn't lay at least 70 on Albright.    They exceeded my expectations.

Also, just a quick tidbit to share...
As I was picking up my ticket, an older couple was picking up theirs.  They asked where the visitors sideline was.   I asked them if they had come up from Texas.   They said no, "They were staying at the same hotel as the team(UMHB) and that the kids (players) they met were so nice that they decided to come see them play...
Compliments to the team for being great ambassadors for your school...

I'm sure Pete would love to hear about this!

It's not too bad right now in the tailgate lot. Flags are steady, but it looks like the field will be blocked thanks to the buildings.

It looks like Dana Taylor is out again this week.

I'm nervous and excited for this game. It definitely will be the best team the CRU has faced since the semi's last year. Travel safe CRU!

All this trash talk about 04/09 is dumb. A younger me would just pop off, but I'll reserve my comments until after the game. The CRU are definitely zoned in for this one. Weather outlook is great and I'm sure they've been reminded how much this week means to the program. I'm more interested in seeing how many Linfield fans travel to watch this one. The visitor's section has been barren all but a couple games at the CRUthedral. I expect a battle in the trenches and Teidrick to welcome the QB to Texas. I just hope our students roll back to Belton early so they can experience it. That's one thing I've been disappointed about this year. The university hasn't hyped up the games like we used to when I was a student. None the less, it'll be an interesting game and weekend.

The commitment from some of the students I have spoken to is ridiculous. One of the ROTC guys thought it lame that he had to come back for the game.

Some of the ones I talked to didn't know we had a rivalry with hsu....I mean come on! couch cru needs to come back. haha

I hear you couchcru11, I hear you. I'll shut-up.  8-)

It is just a little tough to swallow allowing a team 48 minutes of offensive time of possession and 200+ yards rushing to one back. Has that ever happened in the history of the program?

I do believe The CRU will be ready for Linfield. It should be a hot time in The CRUthedral on Saturday at high noon!

I get that. But to our D's credit, they had the ball that long and only scored 2 TD's and had to make 2 FG's and miss 2. DK tweaked his knee again, and Matt Cody has a partially torn ACL and he played on that. Our back ups were in at LB and we still did well. I'm concerned that our depth at LB isn't there for Linfield.

I know everyone is sayin our D needs to step up, but, they have been on the field for almost 200 plays the past 2 weekends and STILL didn't give up a rushing TD to Barolle. The scores TLU had were basically on the coverage. TLU's line was blocking like crazy and we "didn't get pressure" because Barolle was already outside by the time they got into the backfield. They did get a few sacks and pressure, to their credit. There were a lot of factors that contirbuted, 3 warm up sessions saturday, 9 hours of delay, short night and early morning to come and play in the heat to finish. I respect the heck out of our D. They stepped up when it was absolutely vital for them to do so. Yeah our 3rd down D wasn't as strong, but we still got the W. Coaches will figure out what to do for Linfield and rock the house.

Saturday was the first time I've ever seen Pete address a player personally to ask if they were hurt or can continue to play after a defensive stand. I was floored. He wanted to be perfect, kind of reminded me of Herman Boone!

DUDE! What the heck is going on with D-Kinsey???
He was in a big knee brace for the Saturday kickoff and did not play at all in the Sunday RE-DO. Our defense is good but we aren't a championship caliber D without Deshon Kinsey. I sure hope he is okay. If anyone has an update it would be appreciated.

He aggravated his injury Saturday. He came limping off the field, and was only dressed Sunday far an "as needed" case

curious to know how many are still hanging around the stadium on the chance it resumes.  Is the student union (or whatever building is directly behind the visitor side) full of fans waiting?

Right now there is a small contingent of fans hanging out in the buildings because they're not letting anyone in the stadium. Lightning is hammering the area an they still want to play tonight.

I agree. But since there's not much of a precedent, there's no tellin what will happen. If it's bad and shows it dissipating by 6, I'm sure they'll play under the lights.

I would guess that the game will have several delays tomorrow here in Belton. With lightning and possible hail/tornadic activity, it could be a long day.

I don't know what the rules for playoff games are, I tried to look them up, but I would guess that they would either finish the game tomorrow or postpone till Sunday.

Anyone else know?

There is no rain delay rule, only for lightening and that's 30 minutes. I'm sure that when the coaches meet with the NCAA official before the game, they will discuss the possibilities. Looking at the weather, it shouldn't get too wicked until 2pm. I'm sure they'll delay it until play can resume. I doubt they'll postpone it unless the weather is horrindous before it starts.

Kelly I was I was on like the third row up..Couch was two rows behind..we were the ones watching the game and shouting about MU and Whitewaters games....Couch had a classic sign..one was "Sorry Seniors" he held up during their Senior day presentation...sent one fan into a conniption fit...that was just awesome...then he had a sign 99 or bust...(99 points)

Oh man, that lady was nuts! I was just glad I had some support from CRUnation. It was quite fun hearing others pick up on the chants and yells. Let's see how many will jump on board this week!
