Congrats to Toomey/Robinson on today's awards.  And more importantly, congrats to the Lord Jeff seniors on their remarkable careers.

In terms of the gratefulfred conspiracy theories, agreed that anyone calling Robinson overrated may be a troll.  HOWEVER, tornado aside, McCreary is still a skeleton. Thx.

grateful, don't forget about Joe "Moose" Mussachia, I fear nescac1 will be losing sleep over the Manchester native all week:

"I'm not saying that I'm at his level at all, but I think I'm a little bit like [Oklahoma Thunder forward and NBA All-Star] Kevin Durant. Obviously, I'm not 6-10 [Mussachia stands 6-feet-6-inches], but I love how he plays. He can shoot inside and out and he plays all out on both ends of the court."

in around the nescac news, heard Joey shot an 84 at Winged Foot today (how does he keep getting on all these great courses!) -- after the round, he mentioned that his short game was strong, but the breezy conditions and overall trickiness of the course really affected his play...

agreed definitely a toss up -- I hear they both score on and off the court ;) ... and look for Jacob Nabatoff to provide some depth off the bench this weekend (best FG percentage on the LJ roster!)

in other news around the NESCAC, heard Joey Kizel shot a 75 at Pebble yesterday...

Lots of great players in NESCAC history... nescac1, agree with your comments, just wanted to point out that the greatest "without question" is far too strong a label... as for the classic question of how much credit individual players deserve for team accomplishments, I tend to agree w/ lekfrakenstein that the championship adds value (although that same logic may send Eli Manning to the Hall of Fame...)

Really looking forward to the Amherst student section chants tmrw... for all those who haven't seen it done at Utah State, enjoy...

@jumpshot, Mike Nogelo is NOT "without question" the best player in NESCAC history -- hard to believe you did not mention Aaron Toomey.

I couldn't find a mention of Nogelo winning a national championship, I'm sure Toomey can show him what a RING looks like...

G15 - I don't think you're crazy at all, the Connor "Jones" Gach story is the most impressive I've seen this year.  And AS05 - great call on Mussachia, you have to believe he will be a preseason All-American next year...

Great set of games today -- again, congratulations to Joey Kizel and the Midd seniors, the Kizel-Toomey rivalry has really been something special (also shout-out to The Road to Salem series, really enjoyed watching these).  Agree with nescac1, Killian can guard Robinson -- the issue for Tom is to stay out of foul trouble.  Anyone else see Coach Cosgrove on the sidelines today -- haven't seen that kind of passion in LeFrak since Willy Workman...

Amherst -3.5 tmrw, I'll take the Jeffs

Great article on the NESCAC website.  I expect Amherst to handle Trinity (close game in the first half, then pull away in the second), and Williams to take care of business vs. Middlebury (back-and-forth affair, but Williams will finish strong).  This will set up the classic rivalry matchup of Amherst-Williams, and I expect the Lord Jeffs to rise to the occasion and complete their quest for a seventh conference crown.

Here are a few comparisons of the Amherst squad to current NBA players (saw someone try this earlier and thought it was a great idea -- let me know your thoughts):

Aaron Toomey -- Chris Paul (the standard that all point guards are judged by... simply, dominant)
Tom Killian -- Paul George (emerging as a legitimate star, exceptional perimeter defender)
David Kalema -- Kyrie Irving (potent one-on-one game, vast array of floaters and twisting finishes)
Connor Gach -- Kyle Korver (a threat to score the minute he crosses midcourt...)
