West Region / Re: 2017 West Regional - Tyler, TX

West seems very down this year.  UT Tyler does its usual 0-2 and done.   There is no Linfield 13 or Trinity 15 and 16 team in the field.  Those teams had Strong Arms and bats.    Rhodes is the team on a roll after beating Bir Southern last week on their turf.  Cal Lu has been so close all these years.   One of those teams should make its first appearance in Appleton.

agreed.  the Trinity team was loaded in 2013 and just could not get by Linfield.  In my opinion those two teams were the tops teams in the country.   both teams were loaded in pitching

think you hit the nail on the head 108; TLU is out

the west seems down this year.  Trinity will be the only SCAC team in the field and guessing same thing with the SCIAC and ASC.  Maybe Whitworth gets an invite because of the cost factor.  I see at least one team and maybe two teams shipped out west.

agree as the only way Centenary or TLU goes in my opinion is they must win the SCAC.   Trinity in no matter what and i see minimum of one and probably two teams shipped west

TLU was damn impressive and they were not intimidated at all by Trinity.  In my 10 plus years of seeing Trinity play i don't remember them ever being run ruled and at home no less.  Trinity seems to be lacking the shutdown pitcher(s) that they had the last few years.   Those pitchers were not afraid of the big game challenge and if the Tigers want to return to Appleton the arms must step up as the hitting is second to none.

Congrats to Trinity for an outstanding year.  Props to the senior class of pitchers led by Speer and Tindall.  The junior class. Will get them back next year

Could be Tigers year to break thru.  We shall see tomorrow. they have the arms   Gray Speer Rape Walker and Tindall damn good.  Turner is quality closer.   Bats doing job.  Need to fix base running blunders.

Two wins for Trinity today    Two great pitching performances by Speer and Rape        Tindall super and TU goes for sweep tomorrow.    If TU gets pitching like this sky is limit

it's early but looks like Trinity has some injuries and getting the pitching staff set up.  It was a tough two days for the Tigers and missing key players is a difference.  Trinity has great arms that so far are struggling.

how is Klimesh doing and will he make the Reds this year?  How is TU this year? looks like they lost some key players but not many arms.

Good call 108 and you are very accurate. Trinity has always had the stud at the front of the rotation..ie. Klimish, Lucero and now Speer but Chris is in fact the glue; congrats to Chris.  TU has a young staff with only 2 seniors getting partial roles this year.  Bogese and Lauck pitch every now and then but they are a young staff that will be loaded again next year.  I believe TU gave up 9 runs in 6 regional games last year but fell short.  Hopefully this is the year that the Tigers put it all together.

think the conference will announce an all conference and so agree Pat is truly deserving.  Trinity is a young team with only seniors at CF, SS and C but clearly Pat is the stud

should be a great one tonight with B Southern and Rhodes with NCAA on the line....

Congrats to Trevor Keele of Dallas for being named the hitter of the year in SCAC; truly deserved. That kid can flat out hit (400 hitter) and it is great for the SCAC that he has another year left. Dallas is an up and coming team. Congrats to Zack Speer of Trinity being named the pitcher of the year. Kid at TLU Snider had a great year but Speer is 17-1 the last two years  with ERA under 1.80 and threw a gem Saturday. Speer also comes back next year.  Go Tigers and do the SCAC proud in Regionals
