Not 1 NESCAC team rated in the Top 25? How about the North East? Aren't any of them worthy?

Maxpreps,
At this point your son needs to blanket all of the schools he is interested in with Applications, by Regular decision, Cover all the bases. Many D3 slots are still open as coaches tend to hold open spots for players who they feel may not get into a D1 or D2 team They also have ED recruits refuse due to the lack of FA package so it is not too late. . You and your son need to be realists about his academic and basketball ability as the NESCAC teams are serious about both. A good basketball question to ask is he currently an all league playrer in high school as the bar in the NESCAC is set very high.

He is the brother of Middlebury 13' Peter Lynch. He is a hard working bring your lunch box to work type over player. Very strong in the post, finishes, wrong rebounder and knocks down the elbow jumpers. Nice pick up for Bates!

Any Middlebury fans...any confirmation that Zachary Baines, Green Farm Acad., is onboard. He committed in Nov. Baines, the highly sought after player...stands 6'5" with a seven foot wingspan...imo, could become like the Williams All-American center before Mayer. Expected to become the MVP of the class C NEPSC this year...if he does, will be the third year in a row!
It is always nice to see conference schools reload with quality student-athletes. Makes future contests between schools more interesting.
Congrats to Zach Baines, Hilal Dahleh & Eric McCord on getting accepted to Middlebury class of 2019! Excited 4 them to join Midd Basketball!

Did anyone catch the Colby/ENU game? Just wondering what happen as Colby was off to a pretty good start. According to he box score Colby shot percentage was at a higher rate than EN. Only discrepancy in the box score was the high number of steals EN had on Colby. Can anyone out there paint a picture of this game? Thanks

UNE guard play was exceptional all weekend! Especially on the offensive side of the ball. Their dribble drive to a dish or kick out kept a balanced attack between the New Bigs in the paint and Thompson getting open 3 looks. If the Bigs are coached up so they call stay out of foul trouble, they have a nice rotation of 3 Bigs and 4 guards that could be enough to come out on top of the league.
As far as Midd they out rebound UNE 52-38 and because of that we're able to take 13 more shots than UNE, but Midd shooting was at an uncharacteristic 30 percent?? KUDOS to UNE D or an off night for Midd?

A few interesting notes on the WPI roster. Star guard Marco Coppola, who missed last year with injury, is not back -- I wonder if he transferred? But, his projected production should be replaced by Clyde Niba, who averaged 19-10 for Lasell last year and figures to be a major impact transfer in the frontcourt.
Heard that Marco Coppola transferred to Brandies. Niba will be an impact player in WPI's system. But keep a close eye on FY guard Shane Farley. With his style of play and shooting ability he will fit right in!

Salve's Fr guards Boggs and Morton are both from Tabor academy . Boggs is a play maker with great floor vision who will push the ball up the floor at light speed! He is also an excellent defender. Morton is more of a run and gun wing, with the ability to knock down the 3's off ball screens. I could see him playing the 2 or 3. Both nice pieces for the future

Maxprep,
Has your son done over night visits?? How did your son come away from those visits?? What was his take on the players, coaches and program?? What was the coaches reaction to the early read?? Based on his grades/scores is the school a reach?? Does the campus fit his life style, have a course of studies that he is interested in?? Only your son can answer these questions!!! If he can answer them all positively and has that gut feeling that he belongs and wants to go to a certain college then do ED1, even if the school is a reach!! DO IT!!! No Regrets!!!! As ED1 has it's benefits to athletes and the coaches, especially if he is a reach!!!
Your son should contact the other coaches and let them know he has decide to apply ED1 to another school. These conversations will be eye opening and character building for him! Best of Luck with your sons big decision!
