Livesay Leaving Trinity - from the Hartford Courant

Kate Livesay has resigned as Trinity women's lacrosse coach. Livesay, who guided the Bantams to the NCAA Division III title in 2012, steps down to move her family back to her hometown of Middlebury, Vt. She is expected to join the coaching staff at her alma mater, Middlebury College. "I feel so fortunate to have started my coaching career at such a wonderful institution," Livesay said. "Trinity has been home to me for 10 years and I have valued every moment." Trinity was 127-26 (.830) and qualified for seven NCAA tournaments under Livesay. The Bantams were 84-10 from 2010-2014

Two great games yesterday! Salisbury winning Game 1, 2-1 and Tufts Game 2, 6-0 in 14. Championship game today at noon.

Should be an interesting WS. Tufts had a strong performance in the super regional. Fournier who's numbers were down a little bit this year looked anything but down as she dominated Bridgewater over the 2 days, recording 24 Ks in 12 innings while surrending 3 hits.

Picks for Friday:
Whitewater, St Thomas, Tufts and Trine

Should be a great weekend at Tyler!

I attended the Montclair regional on Saturday. Montclair was clearly the best team and won moved on to the super regionals. On Sunday defeating Haverford for the second time in 2 days by shutout. Alex Hill dominated from the circle striking out 19 on Saturday and followed it up on Sunday with a 10 K performance.

That's the way it usually is and it is the same in DII. The NCAA allots each tournament so many flights so it really limits travel. Every once in a while they will move a team into another region but that is definitely the exception and not the rule.

This tournament has always been regional and always will be regional. If the top 3 teams are in the region, they are going to play each other in regionals.
