I think I did my math right.  47 points.

D'oh — no idea how you got left out — I was writing down all the tabulations on paper and using shorthand. Yes, 47 points.

All the cool kids have 47 points.

47 Points!

LOL pelinho did you copy my bracket? I am pretty sure we have identical selections from the 1st Round to the Final and the # of goals.

Honestly, that is absolutely wild! I filled out my paper bracket on Tuesday after the selection show. May the best man win!

Emory 3 Chicago 4
Rochester 2 WashU 0
Carnegie 2 Brandeis 2
Case 0 NYU 0

Emory/Chicago: predicting a turning of the tables from the 2012 classic that went the other way

Rochester/Wash: WUSTL has been unconvincing. Rochester always gritty

Carnegie/Brandeis: is it pronounced Carnegie or Carnegie? Who cares. Brandeis is just as good.

Case/NYU: NYU may surprise

It's been an indifferent start for Kalamazoo this year.  Surprised to see them unable to beat Olivet at home.  What's going on here. Can someone fill me in? Was expecting Zoo to challenge for a tourney birth this season.

To be honest, I've seen the Beavers play only two games this year, but they've had an incredibly challenging beginning to their season. Wheaton, elmhurst, Olivet, and DePauw; talk about rough scheduling. I see Kalamazoo straightening the ship once they hit the conference heavy part of their schedule. Though, yet again, the MIAA will not cease to excite.

Thomas More down to ten men against Chicago and still down2-0. Thomas More has been dominated. Expected Chicago to win but thought TM would be much better.

Not just a red card, but TMC's All-American and best player.  TMC always seems to play on a edge with a very chippy style.  Ref missed a blatant hand ball by Chicago and Juniet must have used the wrong language in his dissent because didn't look like he did anything that merited a red.

Happened 15 yards in front of us - choice words were in Spanish too! Per the handling - if it's the one by the center mid-back -more ball to hand. If I were TM I'd go after #10 - he's on the edge.

Red card because of bad language? I'm sorry, but that's an absolute joke, and should be a yellow at most. These are adults playing and letting some curse words dictate the outcome of a match is absurd.

To be quite honest, to say that that call dictated the outcome of the match is completely absurd. Chicago was up 2-0 and were completely dominating the game. There was no chance that TMC was coming back into that game. UAA teams are just a class above teams that come from weak conferences like TMC does.

Legendary striking trio from st scholastica, with 64 goals combined between the three, do they have the ability to make a run this year? I think so

Quick point of vexation, I think it's in poor taste that the ncaa allows a team with the name "Red Men" in the NCAA. An institution which receives major government sponsorship and in turn shares profits with the us government, in essence a governmental entity, allows a team with a mascot that has a derogatory phrase attached to it compete in its league. Especially after all of the hardship and injustice that the government instilled on the Native American people, I find it slightly offensive. That being said, I think that the red men will make a serious run in the tournament. With wins against some big time hitters, like Chicago, and winning their conference title, usually dominated by powerhouse Wheaton, I see them going a long way. My final prediction, elite eight. Strong senior class and unbelievable depth, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Calling a Brandeis, Chicago, Washington, Carnegie Mellon final four. Uaa is strong this year.
If I had a dollar every time I've heard "the UAA is strong this year" around tourney time, I'd be rich.
The conference is over rated as shown by its performance in the tourney over the last decade.

Sounds like Amherst every year going into the tournament.

If I had a dollar for everytime the UAA made the final four... Id have like.... 4 bucks!

Let me remind all of you, and I have to do this every single year, but being compensated for the performance of a team in the NCAA is illegal, "The NCAA opposes all forms of legal and illegal sports wagering, which has the potential to undermine the integrity of sports contests and jeopardizes the welfare of student-athletes and the intercollegiate athletics community".

Like, letthekidsplay59, I truly believe that the UAA is very strong this year! But not 4 teams strong! I am going to predict Carthage College (sleeper), Chicago, Brandeis, and Calvin. Let's not forget that the Calvin Knights schalacked a (in my opinion) national quality Kalamzoo Dodgers AWAY a mere 10 days ago.

Also how Wabash didn't get in, astounds me.

"the intention to live as long as possible isn't one of the mind's best intentions, because quantity isn't the same as quality"
Love this quote... but not as much as I like Loras chances of slipping up tonight. They're always much better at home (The Rock Bowl has been a fortress in recent years) and I think they'll take Chicago for granted after beating them last year.
In fact I love Deepak chopra! He has lots of great quotes, like this one, "the less you open your heart to others, the more your heart suffers". It basically is telling us to open our hearts! Share what we are feeling! I feel like there is going to be quite a lot of sharing in the Loras Chicago game tonight. The real question is whose heart will suffer?

swibbles, that is some bold talk.  Looking forward to your 9th post (presumably after the game).
frequency doesn't merit quality. As the great Deepak chora once said, "the intention to live as long as possible isn't one of the mind's best intentions, because quantity isn't the same as quality" Squibbles, keep on doing your thing, don't worry about d3 soccer blog legends like NCAC bossing you around. But looking at the uchicago roster it seems like they have a really young team, young = inconsistent? Doesn't look like it thus far (5-0), we will see soon enough. Will be tuned to the boards for this exciting preemptive post season match up.

I have seen Brandeis 7 times this season and I am willing to call this and put REAL money down with odds if one of you Brandeis supporters feels differently

Cocky call. We shall see if you can live up to your name, "Mr. Right".

I actually agree with "Mr. Right", there first game against Husson (13-7) is going to be very very tough. Husson has a high quality strength of schedule, some big time losses, 4-0 to Bowdoin, and come from the stellar NAC conference.

If they somehow won the first game, they would have to play the stellar 9 win Bowdoin bulldogs or Brockport Dodgers.  The dodgers have a great record in 10-3-6 and finished 3rd in the SUNYAC.
