Too bad Tufts did not display video today. Anyways, would've liked to see more motivation from the Jumbos during this game, as they were great contenders coming into play-offs. Not sure what was up today. Congrats to Amherst on their win

Things aren't looking too hot for the Jumbos today. Nice to see Sabety with a bit of playing time and a nice dunk. Glad he is recovering well.

A few notes re the conference season. Wes was the only team with 6 road games. The cards went 4-2.
Trinity actually had 6 road games as well. They went a somewhat absurd 6-0 as their only conference lose was at home to Tufts.
Colby and Bates both had 6 home games. Bates of course went 6-0 at home and 1-3 on the road (although the losses were to Trinity, Amherst, and Bowdoin so not bad losses) while Colby was 2-4 at home and 2-2 on the road. As we noted, over the entire year, no team beat Bowdoin, Colby, or Bates in Maine except for Williams beating Colby or one of those three teams beating each other.
Tufts beat Colby yesterday at Colby

Hoping the best for Sabety. Hopefully not too detrimental, as that will impact Jumbo play tremendously the rest of the season... things looked a bit shaky today with the Tufts game against Wesleyan, which came as a surprising loss. Although they played relatively well in the first half, the second half needed a ton of work- Sabety could have made big contributions today.

Tufts possibly will win the conference, but no all conference player?-- come on posters. Sabety ,-- a monster, Palleschi- as tough as they come, and even Smith-- one of the quickest guards in conference. Shelton goes deep with bench so individual stats might not compare to some noted, but results for Jumbos will determine, how well these players should be considered . A ways to go before we will know, but all should be under consideration
I couldn't agree with this post more. A Tufts player (if not more than one), deserves recognition after the season they have had so far. An issue with the Jumbos is passing; the big guys don't always get enough touches to the ball to have crazy stats. With Sabety, he handles the ball extremely well when he gets it. Stats alone cannot determine who gets chosen for the first and second teams. Of course, too soon to tell; but I had a few thoughts on the topic.

The Jumbos definitely seemed to have collapsed in the 2nd half.. some looked very tired. Regardless of todays play, I think Tufts has looked excellent the past several games, and are still up to be top contenders in my opinion. Not going to let one game change my mind. Lets hope they bounce back for next weekend's events.

Another incredible win for Tufts over Trinity this afternoon. WOW is all I can say. 3-0 in league play. The Jumbos won 59-55, for their 2nd game on the road this weekend... definitely feels nice. Unfortunately was not able to stream the video, but did keep up with the live stats during the game. Another congrats to the Jumbos for what seems to have been a great performance.

I agree with that Bucket; some of the Tufts players will definitely realize their potential, and hopefully already did, after todays game. I definitely have high hopes for the Jumbos this season.

Great game played by the Jumbos today against Midd in Medford. Tarik Smith has had some shaky games this season but completely amped up his game today with 20 points (possibly a career high?). He clearly has great potential. Palleschi also played extremely well. As you said before Bucket, all of this without Sabety. I wonder how the game would have turned out with both of Tufts' big men on the court.

Tufts played great offensively tonight, and it paid off. Sophomore Hunter Sabety, with 20 points, was extremely deceptive under the hoop with monstrous blocks in the first half and explosive dunks that definitely riled up the team. Powerful player. Haladyna was on fire tonight. With much-needed threes and great footwork in the paint; he showed a lot of urgency and was a crucial player in the game with 17 points.
Plymouth's offense became more powerful toward the end of the first half. The game got a lot more physical in second half among both teams with plenty of fouls called.
All in all, I'm glad to see the Jumbos walking off with a much deserved W.

Been reading this board for a few years now and decided to join in the conversation. Definitely agree that Tufts needs work on their perimeter. Foul trouble and a small injury in the first half were huge disadvantages for the Jumbos today. Although, I must add that overall, their game this year is looking quite different from previous seasons. With Palleschi back in the game, the "twin towers" as I have seen them called here- Palleschi and Sabety, are a dangerous duo, as long as the perimeter allows them to be so... All Tufts games so far have been nail-bitters and I look forward to see what they will do next.
