I looked at their website and they currently don't sponsor football. Is there a plan to do that as well?

February 25, 2025, 01:22:05 PMQuote from: UMHB03 on February 25, 2025, 01:04:18 PMWould another conference take UMHB without football? Football would be an independent. Just wondering.Quote from: justafan12 on February 25, 2025, 12:42:29 PMPardon my not knowing all the ins and outs of this but what would be wrong with UMHB going independent in football? I guess it could be finding games at the end of the season as most schools are playing conference games then. What are some other reasons? No AQ, and scheduling, which is hard enough currently, would be almost impossible for all sports.

Game was played and TC won 54-3. No stats online but I saw an article in Tyler paper where TC won.

"They had a banquet with guests attending in OKC?! No guests were allowed for the BBQ the NCAA held for the teams in Marshall!"
Sorry, the banquet I was referring to was the All American banquet; well that's what I call it. All the teams come and their families. Its also when they announce the D3 all americans.
Now that I think about it not sure any parents were allowed at the OKC banquet. I remember one mom saying she didn't care to eat or even take a seat. She just wanted to see her daughter receive her all american award. She was not allowed in.

Marshall is a dump to say the least. School looks nice but 1 block over it is very sketchy. Did you daughter's team stay in Marshall or Longview which is about 30 minutes away? I know visiting teams use to always stay in Longview due to the limited meal options in Marshall.
Oh and don't think OKC would be any better. They held D3 there back in 2017 and 2018 and I heard it was one of the worst ever. Each team got 1 game on main field and then it was off to the back fields until the championship round. Banquet was limited to only 2 guests for each player. No medical staff on site. Parents I spoke with said they felt second class at OKC.

Host team wins D1 and D3 softball. Does NCAA care?
Yes I know it wasn't a home game for Oklahoma but.....it really was.

ETBU wins game 2.
No pitching depth or everyone is tried in game 3. 7-5 ETBU bottom of 3.

Before Belhaven Mississippi College was an ASC member prior to their move to D2 maybe in 2014 or so. ASC teams had been making the trip to Mississippi for several years.

Matchups with region
Linfield (10) /Central-IA (9)
Salisbury (5) /Tufts (1)
ETBU (10) /Williams (1)
Berry (6) /Belhaven (6)
CNU (6) /Rowan (4)
VA Wesleyan (6) /Muskingum (7)
CWRU (7) /Coe
Trine (7) /UW-Oshkosh (8)
Surprised it wasn't a Linfield vs. ETBU matchup at SR.
Only one matchup with 2 teams from the same region.
Region 6 by far the strongest region with 6 teams advancing to SR.
Muskingum lowest ranked teams to advance at #5 (regional ranking).
No previous head to head matchups of any of the SR teams.

May 16, 2024, 10:02:58 AMQuote from: Riley Zayas on May 14, 2024, 02:09:52 PMI'll look forward to the expansion to 64. Most disappointing (though not surprising) for me was ETBU and TLU being put in the same pod. Would've loved to have seen one flight used to send TLU elsewhere...I mean, C'mon. You have 2 Top 10 teams in the same regional...no other regional has that. Unfair to both ETBU and TLU...they didn't deserve that after putting together outstanding seasons this year.Unfair yes; but when does the NCAA care about fair at the D2 or D3 level. Its all about $$ and how NOT to spend them at these levels. Been this way for years and years and years. I go back to the UT Tyler and ETBU days where those teams always played each other in regionals. After those wars, SR or the WS, no wait National Championship, was always much easier.
Look at D2 this year. Granted it did not happen but their bracket was set up with the #1 and #3 teams meeting each other at SR (West Texas A&M was upset at regionals).
