Juniata can't even get an RV? :-)

Good catch. Probably their best season ever.  Won't be competing at school with the women's vball team though. They are just amazing year after year.

Let's see how they do in conference playoffs. I don't believe they are better than Catholic or Lycoming. They have played a light non-conference schedule but have certainly taken care of business in the Landmark. Their best results have been ties with York, Lycoming, and Catholic. No signature wins that jump out.

PSU Harrisburg plays in a weaker conference but has some nice results and overall strong record. Currently 13-4-2 with solid wins over NYU, Messiah, and Lycoming. They've won 9 of their last 10 so no reason to drop them out at this time. Others in the RV section could certainly be in that 10th slot.

Some mid-season surprises for the region:

-Messiah at .500 with a 5-5-1 record (not your typical Messiah). Look for them to finish with 11 or 12 wins going into conference playoffs

-Catholic with a slow start at 3-5-2 and 0-0-2 in Landmark play but has played a difficult schedule. Look for them to rebound down the stretch in conference play.

-Arcadia at 10-1-1 but faces some challenges in conference play and has played a weak schedule. But wins are wins!

-York undefeated through 12 games at 8-0-4 after posting a 6-7-3 record in 2023. Look for them to battle with Messiah in conference play.

-Stevens flying under the radar sitting at 4-2-3 after a tough non-conference schedule. They will be well prepared for conference play and will be seeking an at-large if they don't get the AQ.

-Montclair has won 8 in a row allowing just 1 goal in that span. But are they as good as their record? They face Newark next.

-Dickinson at 10-1-1 already surpassing last year's record of 9-7-2. Excited to see how they close out conference play.

-Newark at 7-4-2 and a sleeper to win the NJAC. Can they run the table after their next battle with Montclair? Keep an eye on them down the stretch.

-PSU-Harrisburg at 9-3-1. Maybe not a surprise but some good results with wins over NYU, Messiah, and Lycoming. I still think they are AQ or bust but should remain in the NCAA regional rankings when released.

I was torn between the success and results vs that + strength of opponents. I went with F&M for now as they have a hard schedule with solid results. Dickinson could easily be 1 instead of 2 but I am not seeing the hype for Swat. Maybe 1 good result so far? Occidental? They are taking care of business but could also see them missing conference playoffs. Need more time before I move them up further.

Dickinson have played a harder schedule thus far, in my opinion, and have good results. I'd lean them over Swat and others. F&M has played the toughest schedule and is trending in the right direction. They are lacking a signature win but also haven't dropped a game yet.

If I had to pick between F&M and Dickinson in a H2H right now I'd take the Diplomats, and for that reason they edge out the Red Devils...for now  :)

As for the rest of the rankings...it's truly a toss-up. Hopkins seem to always be there and have had a solid start to the year. Lycoming has been flying under the radar and has put together a nice start to the season. Messiah is in free fall by their standards but still not a team anyone wants to face. I'm confident they will sort it out before conference play. Rowan looks solid but time will tell how good they really are. York has turned some heads and are headed in the right direction from previous years. Montclair probably could be higher but it's jam packed from 4 thru 9. PSU-Harrisburg gets the nod at 10 but take your pick for that spot.

Thanks for putting this out here. Being a F&M fan, I appreciate it. However, right now, F&M may get there especially since it will play Dickinson and Swat (I think Swat on this Saturday).

So right now, imo, at least Swat and Dickinson should be above F&M with their successes. F&M was just not getting it done in the beginning of the season with its 4 ties (to include Kenyon and Rowan).

Things may be turning for F&M as its main goal scorer, Oscar Horwitz, is back with three goals over the last two games. So, if F&M is successful against Swat on Saturday . . . .

Estimated SoS numbers.  MAF did a great job of going over the RvR which I don't track. From this ranking on, the purely RPI based predictions are slightly less accurate.  Top 7 for Region IV seems pretty set to me.  Montclair clear #1.  2-7 could still shift a lot as we go through the final games of the regular season and conference playoffs.  Region V top 2 (Messiah and F&M) are set.  JHU and Washington College are looking good.  I think Muhlenberg might be in trouble if they don't make a deep playoff run. They play Cabrini and McDaniel to end the regular season which will hurt their SoS (if they manage to tie or lose one of those games then they are really in trouble).   Widener potentially dropping out this week (despite still having a decent RPI) with Lycoming or Alvernia slotting in one of the last spots.  Lots of talk about Scranton but RPI has them at 11 in region V.  Low SoS right now but good RvR so who knows how the cmte will view them
