Surprised to see Cortland lose to SJF...

Will be interesting to see how Wesley handles a much improved CNU team

I was surprised by the amount of points Alfred State put up on Rochester. 30!?  :o

Final score was 40-20. Waiting for teams to figure out how weak SU's corners are. There were times when Montclair was on the cusp of putting it all together, but then they just want back to a vanilla run game.

The score could easily have been 49-7, if SU didn't waste the drive before the half and if their secondary was better.  SU is going in to an easy two-game stretch, but I expect the back end of their season to be difficult because teams will see what happened when Albright and MSU passed the ball.

MSU has an extremely talented RB and QB. Yes, the QB may be a little inconsistent, but he has such talent. He threw a dime pass reminiscent of an Eli Manning pass when the Giants faced the Patriots, the second time, in the SB.

There were a ton of personalities today. None were the result of dirty play, but this officiating crew has there own spin on the rules. I thought, on both sides, some penalties were unwarranted, but what can you do... Salisbury's HC was having conniptions on the sidelines; not sure if that'll do much with referees.

Salisbury up 21-7.

Just realizing now I missed a ton of njac action last night...

Wow. Utica!

Albright did well towards the end, but a loss is still a loss.

The Kean @ BSU game is not going how I imagined in. Score is 10-7 at the half.

The CNU @ HSC at the end of the first quarter, 3-7.

I have video of the Wesley & FSU game, but not statistics -- not even what quarter it is. Wesley's defense is looking stout.

What is going on with Albright...?

I just read something on the MAC board. Can somebody confirm for me that Mailk Pressley transferred to Mount Union? He was an accounting major! A debit is a debit and a credit is a credit at any college or university. It makes me appreciate DelVal's Rasheed Bailey even more. So much could be said here........but I will refrain!! ;)

Yes, he transferred and is on MU's 2016 roster.

I'm not sure what Malik's situation was. I doubt he was poached; he probably just didn't want to lose games and felt like he had to talent to play in purple.

Montclair won, 25-15. Poor showing in my opinion. FDU has won 4 games since 2013, and they are no better this year than years prior -- at least according to what I'm hearing out of Madison.

MSU had a poor performance at QB, the bright-spot being the RB #23 who rushed for almost 200 yards and had a big reception for a TD. This isn't going to be enough to even scathe SU unfortunately. Without a legitimate passing threat SU's defense will plug up the run game. SU has a decent front, extremely athletic linebackers, and a run-of-the-mill, yet under-sized, secondary.

I think we'll see a repeat of last year's match-up next week, a la, a 46-14 game.

What I'm thinking this weekend:

Montclair > FDU by at least 3 TDs

Kean > BSU by at least 2 TDs

CNU > Hampden-Sydney by ALOT

The Frostburg and Wesley game... who knows. If Wesley can get there offense together you have to give the game to them, but Frostburg has some good potential. If Wesley gives them the opportunity, Frostburg will take the win: see what happened when Salisbury tried to coast against FSU last year, after the win against Wesley.

All in all, this will be a good week for the NJAC. I think the only OOC loss will be the one Wesley suffered at the hands of Del Val. Speaks well for the strength of the conference from top to bottom. Depending on what happens we'll probably see two teams from this conference in the playoffs again.

I think he's talking about the four teams he saw with his own eyes on Friday and Saturday.

makes sense  :)

after this weekend I will go with Del Val > Wesley > Rowan > Widener.  These are probably 4 of the better teams in the east but none of them are a top 10 team.  The east looks to be filled again with several good teams, but no one who can challenge for the national title.

No Salisbury?

My Seagulls gotta fix that run defense. I thought Albright's corners did a better job of forcing our running backs out of bounds when we ran outside. It was still great to get the win. I'm sure our coaches will break that film down and find a way to tighten up that middle also. Quick question for you all. This is my first year being involved in college football because of my son. Is it typical for freshmen to not play in games? Should my wife and I have our eyes set on seeing him play next year as a sophomore? I apologize if the question seems dumb, we're not used to him being on the sideline and having to explain this to my wife was difficult.

Thanks 👍🏾

Some freshman play, some don't. I know SU has some freshman playing, and one even starting on defense. The thing with college football is that some kids will never see the field at all, even though they were all-county or all-state in highschool. I have no idea what your son's circumstances are, but I wish him the best.

I'm interested in how Cortland plays Heidelberg. Any predictions?
