Crazy ending. Can't wait to see the video

I'm very interested in the Cru faithful perspective on that ending

I also thought play clock had expired. UMHBs offense also stayed on the field after the last play for awhile before suddenly rushing off the field so I'm pretty sure officials were supposed to not allow ball to be snapped until HS got the chance to also sub. Not really sure the nuances of that rule, though. Hell of a game and the good ones usually have controversy.

2 flags thrown on the play. Not sure how it was interpreted. Will be interesting

That's why it's a rival and fun 😀

It's fun, it's college football rivalry. I wouldn't have done it because it give the Cru motivation they probably don't need. But again it's fun. They did it, UMHB players hammered him on Twitter. Again all in fun. You can't tell me UMHB players wouldn't have done something similar to a rival in a similar situation. Let's all laugh at it and enjoy the game today.  Who cares if Subaru is worried about 30 T-shirt's hell its probably more marketing noise than they normally get in Texas the land of "big trucks" and SUVs

It was a very bad offensive night. I lost count on how many def TD's TLU had. Not to mention other turnovers TLU took in red zone.  Likely a devastating loss for the COwboys.  And they get two weeks to "think" about it. They can't seem to recruit game changing QB's   It's time to pick up the pieces and worry about what they can control and keep moving forward.

Much like the Dallas Cowboys, the HSU Cowboys dismantled their opponent. The Giants/Lobos aren't particularly great teams but the Cowboys did what they should have   Hsu played 4 QBs and probably as many RBs and other positions in the game. As always some things to work on and on to week 2

UMHB has dominated every phase of the game tonight. Hsu still not at the elite level. Great atmosphere  great stadium  love coming here but as usual hate the outcome   Cowboys gotta regroup

I'm super pumped about the HSU UMHB game this weekend. I have seen many of these games over the last 6years (my 2nd son playing for HSU) usually being on the wrong end of it.  They are always good games, electric atmosphere and expecting the same this year (not the outcome 😀) HSU needs to get to the next level and games like this will let everyone know if they are there or not

IMO. Hsu offense can be exciting and needs to play at their top level and must be able to run and throw the ball. The moment they become one dimensional it's could get ugly
Hsu defense must play disciplined   They can't give good teams additional plays or possessions

IMO, HSU's performance progressively deteriorated as the season progressed. It is liked they peaked in week four. The Cowboys had tough games with TLU and Southwestern and only scored 28 points against McMurry in the regular season final.
I completely agree. The offense struggled in the back half of the season. In hindsight losing wr Bell and inexperienced QB hurt them.  HSU can't seem to get to the next level and win some playoff games   Expecting the. Coaching staff to make the appropriate adjustments and get these guys there . IMO the QB must be dual threat to beat teams like UMHB based on their defense scheme. HSU needs to make adjustments from here. Good luck CRU.

Much respect for UMHB (except #41 who shot double bird to HSU sideline in 1 qtr). They played like 1 ranked defending national champions should. HSU hurt themselves with penalties  and couldn't ever put anything together.  It was low scoring as I thought it would be
Safe travels home cru fans and hope to see you guys again soon

So do you think ETBU's offense is that much better than UMHB's? I will admit to not watching the game but looking over the stats I see 1st team defense guys playing at least into the 4th quarter.

I don't think ETBU offense is better than UMHB. Cmon!  I do recognize HSU was up all night on ETBU and played a very soft defense   I also recognize the 2's did have significant time in 2nd half. Also, don't underestimate the "pucker" factor.  I do think both teams will experience that to some degree based on previous matchups and what's on the line. Just my two cents. Safe travels and good luck to both teams   Hooyah Cowboys!!

I'm not sure either team can score 30 on the other. I think 24-21 Cowboys. Yes D3FB is fun!!!!

Congrats the Linfield. They outplayed HSU and made the necessary adjustments. They shut down our offense and picked Apart the defense over the middle down field. HSU has made great progress over the last 4 years going 4-6, 6-4,9-2 and 9-2. They need to get the next level and win playoff gAmes.
Looking forward to the next 4 years as my oldest graduates and the next one moves into his soph year.

On a side note, Southwestern captures the SCAC Championship. Could there be a Reeeeaaaaallllllyyyy outside chance that Southwestern could be up for the pool bid? HSU Sos 31 SW is 101...I don't see it but....

Very interesting question and observation. A coupe of comments and a question

1 congrats to SW and coach Austin   That program has improved each year
2  is SOS number better to be lower or higher?  I'm not an expert and still new to this process
3. Wouldn't head to head come into play with HSU beating them?

Again, very interesting question an discussion into the playoff seeding and brackets
