Bates- Christian Sanfilippo Gloucester,Ma- Prototype NESCAC back, 5'9" 191- confirmed 4.52 40. Chose Bates over a number of other options including Patriot league and 1aa.

Sanfilippo sounds like a very good NESCAC fit, but please take reports of 40 times with a grain of salt.  He ran 6.95 (fully automated timing) for 55m in late December. His PR in the 100 in 2016 is listed as 12.02

There is certainly a difference between football speed and track speed, but these times do not equate to 4.52.

I'm a Wesleyan football alumnus and an almost-daily visitor to this board.

Tomorrow night, Wesleyan will induct former Head Coach of Football Donald M. Russell and Peter Kostacopoulos into the Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame. It was my privilege to play for Coach Russell during my years at Wesleyan. "Kosty" was the defensive coordinator during that time, which included the 8-0 season in 1969.

I will attend the induction dinner along with many of my teammates and look forward to congratulating Coach Russell and Coach Kosty on this long-overdue honor.  It should be a great night!

Greetings. I'm a Wesleyan alum and avid Wes/NESCAC football fan.  I'm also a big fan of Connecticut high school football, so a perfect fall weekend for me is a Friday night high school game and a Saturday afternoon Wes or Trin game.

I followed the discussion on this board throughout the fall and really appreciate the volume and depth of NESCAC info available here.  The news of Dario Highsmith's plans to play for Wes prompted my enrollment. I have followed Highsmith's play throughout his high school career and can attest to his skill set as a runner --- excellent vision, very good football speed, great change of direction, durability, and stamina.  I think he will be an excellent NESCAC player.
