My thoughts:

1. Congratulations Mount Union.  Fantastic, record-breaking season!
2. UMHB was the second-best team in the country this year.
3. I now like K.C. Keeler better than Caruso. No class. When Caruso loses he acts like Greg Schiano and when he wins he's another back-slappin Jim Harbaugh.  Watch him come out onto the field and yell at Nick Driskill during the final tackle of the game.

On the OAC Pick-Em's board the line was set with St. Thomas giving 20.5.  So far, all the participants have picked Mount.  I'll be very surprised if the point differential is that large.

If the Tommies are giving UMU 20.5 then I'm going to pick Mount Union as well.  For the Tommies sake...I hope Mount does not go "Lycoming" on them Friday night.

and that's my point.  Mount will score 50+ and UMHB may score 20+ but math tells me that's a 30 point difference.  I think this mount team is the best one in the last 4 years.

I'll give you UMHB +30.  We can wager dinner/drinks.  Interested?

Mount may give up more than 17 but the point total won't exceed 24 for the game.  Here's something scary to consider...Mount has not had to put the gas pedal down once this season.  I think they might do that this weekend.  I'm expecting 50+ from UMU with a winning margin of +30.  Mount Union is going to go HARD this weekend.

Excuse me if someone already explained it...but how is it that the North Central bracket and the UMU bracket are not the #1 and #2 seeds?

They clearly contain the two best teams in the country and neither of them should be playing a road game during the playoffs!

The Case Western-Jack Carroll game was terrifically done and free. Easily the best on-line streaming video I've seen. Was a better total production that the Stagg Bowl (which sadly seems to be worse each year (from a TV production, microphone talent standpoint)

The Stagg Bowl should be an evening contest under the lights.  It's currently an 8am kickoff for folks out West.  Silly.

Suprisingly...no article on Pierre from this site (D3).  I can'tt remember a D3 skill position player to ever have combine numbers so impressive...maybe EVER...(top5-10) rankings in most categories.

An article on Pierre from his hometown paper (W. Palm Beach) The mayor of Alliance could use some PR assistance as well:

My impression is that they have not yet faced one.  That's why--for me--it's the one unknown with this team.  My hope comes from understanding that Ithaca was a decent passing team, and even with selling out against the run, we still were able to bend without breaking against their pass.

I could be wrong about facing a top passing team, and we just did a good job of stopping them that day.

Mount faces the best passing offense in the country everyday...in practice.  People seem to forget that fact.

lil sis...

I checked Amtrak which runs from Rochester to Alliance however no trains are available this weekend.

If Mount wins this "Saterday" vs. SJF that will be the purple's 300th victory since 1980.  Overall Mount currently stands at 299-37-3  during this time period.

Didn't Micheli have a massive game in the Stagg the very next week? Must be he was on double secret probation and wasn't allowed to come in & throw that day vs. Fisher.

Well, if I could win without it and spring it on UW-Whitewater the next week, that's what I would've done as a coach.

So the gameplan was not to pass during the Fisher game, so in the Stagg Whitewater would never see it coming.

UW-W Defensive Coordinator after watching game film:
"Man, MUC ran almost every play in the Fisher game - no way they'll throw it against us"

Exactly.  Go back and watch the Stagg Bowl again.  The announcers constantly referred to Jorris as the passing QB and Micheli as the running QB. EVERYONE thought that.  The announcers were shocked with Micheli's passing ability and he eventually went on to set the Stagg Bowl accuracy record.  WWW was obviously suprised.
