What an embarrassing shame for the so-called Calvin fans to be calling for KVS to be fired for so much of the year.  :-X

There are 2

I'm not talking about this board, but in general.

What an exciting win for Hope on Saturday at Trine! They almost lost it down the stretch, but Hawkins has to be the most improved player in the MIAA. Do they have that award?

Trine had professional broadcasters working the game, and it was excellent. I guess they work for ESPN sometimes, I was told. They have way too much static on the video, though. Stuive is making the most of his senior season and was the difference in the game, early. I still don't think Hope has enough inside depth, but well see. On to the next one!  :)

Nice win for Trine at Adrian last night 68-54.  Pretty much held Davonte Harris in check all night until the last minute when he put in a couple of uncontested 3's with Trine up 20.  Trine played without leading rebounder Ellis Cummings, didn't hear why but assuming out sick.  Copeland had a nice game with 18, Dixon who was playing sick had 14, but the biggest contribution was from senior Addison Daub who hit 5 big 3's in the second half, I'm sure that was a career game for him as he hasn't seen much playing time until this year and now has clearly taken over the point guard position.  Sickness has coursed thru both the womens and mens teams recently, noticed a lot of coughing and hacking at the womens game last Saturday with one of their key players out.

Hope comes to town Saturday, weather permitting.  Hope by far with the better talent up and down the roster, but if Dixon has a good game and some others step up we might make it close at home.  Safe travels for those who venture out Saturday to Angola.

What are you seeing on the weather forecast that I'm not seeing? It says cloudy and 32 on Saturday for Angola on accuweather and a 20 percent chance of snow on the national weather service.

This conference seems wide open this year. Hope is clearly the best on paper, but Alma may factor in. The league seems really down, though. Calvin has gotten off to a good start.

The overdubbed announcer on those Trine highlights is the radio pbp guy from WEAX, whose name for some reason escapes me right now.

They must have a few different broadcast teams, then.

I hope Hope has video for all games, because it's going to be hard for most people to make it to early games on Friday, especially from far away.

Calvin at Trine highlights

Trine does a really good job with this, but do they only do highlights for games they win? Aren't there some highlights for games you lose, too? I wanted to see the Alma OT game highlights at Trine. I watched it online, and they had different broadcasters for that game. They definitely weren't the ones in the Calvin highlights.

Will Hope be providing live video for all the tournament games? That's a lot of work for 4 games in one day. I can't imagine this format will last long.

Anyone have thoughts on MIAA MVP because I am pretty stumped.

Covile, Holmquist, Nikodemski, Gardner, Benson?

Nikodemski should be the MVP.

Anyone picking Calvin next Saturday?

No, which is why it may set up well for Calvin on that day. Hope has too much to play for to let down, though. They don't want the tournament at Alma.

Remaining games:

Trine:       @Olivet, Albion
Adrian:    @calvin, Kzoo
calvin:     Adrian, Hope

If calvin suddenly starts making baskets and the schedule pans out with the bold games being wins, and the non-bold games being losses... all three teams would end the regular season tied and with the same head-to-head record. What would the next tie-breaker be?

The three teams would have their records against each other stacked.

The team on the lowest end of the tie-breaker would drop out and the last 2 would play a play-in game....since they would have all split against each other in the regular season.
