The transfer of two Central Dutch players to become Dubuque Spartans will probably increase the GPA of both teams.

:D
Well look at this... UD leads the IIAC for academic all-conference selections the past 5 seasons  ;D

Only at U of Dubuque would 13 be more than 23 (2014-2015)  ::)

I need to get Walston-Hoover and dutchfan1 back on the board to help me out.  I'm getting too old to make speedy retorts.
???

Well hello boys! Long time, no post!

I thought it had been awhile since this board talked dirty on here ;)

Ha ha -- I leave for a few months and I come back to dirty talk by a Wartburg guy. It's like I never left. :)

Iowa's DJK is joining the Barnstormers. Yawn. His interviews should make arena football more interesting, at least.

I have not been on the board in weeks (and pages and pages, I see....) I thought I would cruise by and congratulate young Mr. Zweifel on winning the Gagliardi trophy. Truly an outstanding honor! This award not only recognises football accumen, but also academics and strength of character. While being DIII's most outstanding player is an amazing honor on its own, this award recognizes the entire person. This is truly one of the highest honors in all of college football (at any level). From what I know, Zweifel deserves this honor, and then some. The award could not have gone to a better, more deserving candidate. Congratulations!

AND....in the spirit of a great tradition that cannot be ignored: Simpson jokes. Enjoy! :)

Did you hear about the Simpson fan that broke his leg raking leaves?

He fell out of the tree.
8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)
Why did the Simpson fan keep a coat hanger in his back seat?

In case he locks the keys in his car.
:-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
Things you will never hear a Simpson fan say:

•I'll take Shakespeare for 1000, Alex.
•Nope, no more for me. I'm driving tonight.
•I thought Graceland was tacky.
•We're vegetarians.
•Honey, I think we should sell the pickup and buy a family sedan.
•I've got it all on the C: drive.
•Too many deer heads detract from the decor.
•I'll have the arugula and radicchio salad.
•Trim the fat off that steak.
•Do you think my gut is too big?
•Does the salad bar have bean sprouts?
•Come to think of it, I'll have a Heineken.
•I just couldn't find a thing at Walmart today.
•Has anybody seen the sideburns trimmer?
•Let's go to the museum.
•No, I insist you have the last piece.
•Four wheelers are just too dangerous.
•I think we should get to know each other better first.
•I have reviewed your application.
•I hope this wasn't tested on animals.

Holy cow -- huge congrats to UD! Best of luck in the playoffs! I said it when he was hired, and this proves it - Coach Z is the real deal! I can't believe I am saying this, but it is kind of fun to see some new blood at the top.

What do Knights think Cheerios are?

Donut seeds.
*************************************

I think that it is a shame the way you pick on the Knights. After all it was a Wartburg engineer that invented the toilet seat.

...of course a Central engineer stole the design and cut a hole in the middle.
***************************************

Why did the Wartburg fan get rid of his freezer?

He got tired of cutting the ice into little squares to fit into the trays.
***************************************

Why can't Wartburg farmers raise chickens?

They plant the eggs too deep.
**************************************

What are the vital statistics of the winner of the Miss Wartburg Beauty Contest?

36-24-26.....and the other leg is the same.

Hee hee hee....I have to save some for Simpson week. Go Dutch!!

I'm late to the party....but, better late than never, right? ;)

The Knights were playing Central.  It was near the end of the game and Central was ahead by 4. Someone threw a firecracker and the Dutch thought it was the gun and ran off the field celebrating.

Three plays later the Knights scored and won!!

Loras looked great last week. It is tough starting out with the one of the toughest teams in the midwest, not to mention the best in the IIAC. UD is has a superb football program. I don't think discrediting Loras is the issue. We should Credit Dubuque for their football efforts and national attention draw.

Something fishy is going on and I can't quite put my finger on it!

Anytime a Loras fan even acknowledges that UD exists, there is something fishy going on....

Greetings from Oregon to my Iowa friends! I'm late getting on the board this year, as Linfield had our first game just yesterday. We're a little slower out here in the uncivilized part of the west.
I see the Warts are on the top of the heap, but who lit a fire under Cornell? Geez.
And where's Dutchie? In the last few pages, I see Warty, doolittle and most of the other regulars, but no Dutchie.

Here I am....long time reader, first time poster.... (wait, that isn't right....)  :)

Truth be told, I recently started a new job, and have been crazy busy - get this - actually working! Weird, huh? How's Linfield going to do this season? I need to get out there to see another game....
