And If I recall correctly, they shouldn't have hosted that year, either. There was some issue with Ursinus not being able to host...

Given that Scranton was 1 point behind IWU, Bowdoin was 46 behind Scranton, and Scranton had a road win against a ranked opponent, I couldn't imagine the voters having Bowdoin leapfrog Scranton...

If they finished tied, the first 6 tiebreakers wouldn't yield anything:

It would likely got to Catholic because of the 7th tiebreaker (NPI ranking), assuming there is no change in their position between now and then.

In the least suspenseful news of the evening, the Lady Royals clinch a conference playoff berth tonight with their win over Drew. With a win on Saturday over Goucher, they clinch a home playoff game.

Goucher in 14 games not against Scranton:
11-3
Points for: 105.9
Points against: 73.1
Against Scranton:
0-1
Points for: 41
Points against: 100
Scranton's defense has been stellar all year (leading the nation in scoring defense), including today with 13 steals and 8 blocks while holding ranked Catholic to 37.5% shooting and 20 points under their average. This could be a very dangerous team in March.

January 09, 2025, 12:58:27 PMQuote from: Augie2020 on January 09, 2025, 12:46:24 PMTypical Danzing mind games!!!My question is-is Lebisky still on the team?If not then the streak continues of Carl losing a player during holiday break
He is still listed on the roster. The speculation is he had some academic issues. His last game was Dec. 16 (playing 34 minutes) and grades were due the next day. If that's the case, and assuming that he takes an intersession course and can bring his grades up, he'd be eligible for the Juniata game on Jan. 25.

December 07, 2024, 07:24:04 PMQuote from: ronk on December 07, 2024, 01:08:50 AMWatched the 1st half of the Susque-Goucher game to see what the new-look Goucher WBB would do tomorrow vs the Lady Royals. Unlike a few years ago when Goucher only dressed 7, they have some players now, so many that when the HC sat down instead of standing up, there wasn't a seat for 1 of the players. They press full court and it was effective against Susque, but when it was beaten, there were many uncontested layups. They also sub in 5 players whenever play is whistled to a halt.
Don't think Scranton has faced a similar style in recent years.
I think they figured it out.

Brooke Olender 5'10" out of Archbishop Carroll is one of the commitments (there was a second...)

The fact that Tufts had the lowest winning percentage out of all of them is absolutely mind boggling.

NYU also has two DI transfers coming in: Kate Peek (jr) from Fairfield and Jamie Behar (Grad) from Lehigh. They should be tough again this year...

I think that Hannah will make a heckuva coach if she sticks with it.
As for LeMoyne, they are DI as of last year. Good luck to him.

I haven't seen any video but her stats from this year (10 RPG, 3.1 SPG, 3.8 BPG) indicate a strong defensive presence that Ben likes (and I do, too!). One question: is she 5'11" as listed on Twitter or 5'9" as listed in the press release? That's a big difference in how she can be utilized at the college level.
