Region 5 women's basketball / Re: Landmark Conference

Check rosters in the region - seems most teams only brought in one or two players; maybe the pickin for D3 prospects at MAC caliber was thin?  Guess we'll see through the season - and certainly in the out of conference games as well as the playoff picture - only time will tell!

Just curious - what scrimmages are coming up?
And, who is picking whom?  Obvious winners this year or parody in the league as usual?

Wow - I haven't been on here for a while.  I had to double check to be sure this is a MAC posting - it seems that there is one really active side of the MAC here - but the other side is absent, or just quiet!  Good luck teams!  I'm confused about the Division 4 talk??  If National titles were easy - they wouldn't be so special!  Unless there is something objective in it - like the scholarship monies (or not) that come into play for the current three divisions.  I enjoy all levels - think there will always be great programs, decent programs, average programs, and less than average programs!

I may not quite "get" the way the NCAA does the pairings, but I guess I'll see once they are released tomorrow morning!  Anyway, I thought since Messiah has been top in the NCAA rankings and Scranton has been #2 that would mean that Messiah would be hosting?  I guess they could both host this coming weekend - but if they both would come out of next weekend, wouldn't Messiah be more likely to host than Scranton?  Of course, maybe one of them will be sent to another lesser region and then they could meet up in the Final Four.  Wouldn't that be great to have two reps from the MAC in the Final Four?  Help, I'm confused!

First, Kate, I just have to say, I think you are classy - I love  how you are dedicated to your DVC team - but respect how you enjoy the competition in the MAC!  And, yes, Now we are all MAC!  Speaking of which, sometimes I long for the "good ole days" of the crossover games in the MAC.  Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that there are two halves b/c that means two AQ's.  And, obviously, it would be somewhat anticlimactic to have an overall MAC championship game now, just because!  But, maybe we'll get to see a playoff in the NCAA tourney between the two MAC champs!  Scranton vs. Messiah match up - thoughts!?  GO MAC in the NCAA tourney!  Turn on the music, it's time to dance!

Just curious - is anyone on here watching the "other half" of the MAC?  Things should be heating up there as well down the stretch.  Especially with Moravian beating Messiah - may be heading for a rematch in the finals?  Of course, don't count out any of the other teams either - especially those battling for their playoff lives in the #4 spot! Any thoughts on what would happen with the top teams in the Freedom vs. the top teams in the Commonwealth?  Thoughts on the regional rankings?

my two cents; curious....if you DID put an order what would it be?

anyone care to comment on whether the desales victory over widener was an "upset" or expected?? is the scranton side still the stronger of the MAC?

will hold comments on the lvc victory over rowan to see what some other teams do with rowan!  (york plays rowan, they also play messiah, and messiah already played lvc)....

thoughts??

well....so good to see that there are still TWO sides to the MAC! was wondering if this would continue to be one sided!  question though....there are 6 teams in the post...but you suggest that 4 of those will be in the thick of things on the other side of the conference!  will look forward to seeing some of the cross conference games!  things could be changing in the MAC?? hmmmmm
