Just an FYI - Rowan University will have a brand new, plush, turf field for the upcoming 2013 season. In addition, Rowan will also have a brand new, and very much needed, new locker room/team house for current Rowan players, as well as, visiting teams.

Rowan Football Game Versus Kean Cancelled

GLASSBORO, NJ – The football game between Rowan University and Kean University on Sunday, November 4 has been cancelled due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Neither team has had time to prepare for the game and many students have been unable to return to the campuses.  Rowan reopened classes on Thursday.  Kean is still without power and the University is closed for the remainder of the week.

Rowan travels to The College of New Jersey for its regular season finale on Friday, November 9 at 7 p.m.

Congratulations to Matt Hoffman from Rowan University as the NJAC Defensive Player of the year. Better yet, congratulations to him on his heroic procedure that saved a man's life. The story link is below.

It is a sad day for Rowan Football as one of our own, Joseph Low ('93) passed away from a heart attack on 2/7/09. Joe was 39 years old, married and a father of 4 young children. He was an outstanding football player (linebacker), a quality person and an integral part of the Brown & Gold Gridiron Club. He will be greatly missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.

We beat MontEClair 25 years ago 16-7. Let HISTORY repeat itself. MSU has a tendency of choking on the big one when playing at home in a meaningful game. I am sure the RU staff will have a few tricks up their sleeves.

GO ROWAN AND KICK AZZ!

Congrats Rowan! Run the table the rest of the regular season and get the bid. For those who played football in 1983 at GSC, there will be a homecoming reunion next Saturday, 10/18 at 11:30 in the end zone. We will be an honored guest of the Alumini Association. If you are interested in attending, give the alumni office a call and ask for Paula or email alumni@rowan.edu

Good luck to all the teams this season, except of course when you play Rowan.

BMan,

We'll cya at another game another time. No use in my pouring salt on your wounds, though it is hard not to after all these years waiting for this game to happen. Your blog entry came from your heart and for that, well, at least you get some +karma.

The Doc resides in Camden County in NJ, but the farthest part away from the City of Camden. Doc coaches youth baseball and in All-stars we played a team from the Cramer Hill section (picture Little Havana) and to get there you have to drive through some very seedy areas.

Picture the scene in Escape from NY and I was Snake Pliskin without all the ammo and Ernest Borgnine as my cabby.

But you will lose out on following the hotties and seeing the results in the frozen food section!

WTFF watches Rachel Ray like, every afternoon.  Until today, LD11 was always irritated by her.  She annoyed the heck out of me.  Then today, I was watching it for a few minutes, when I became suddenly extremely attracted to her.  As if I think she may be an 'In the Rack' Hall of Famer.

Has anyone else ever shared a similar experience?

LD,

The Rev has been a long-time ogler of Rachel ray and has decided that her rack expands and contracts.
Some days said glands look downright scrumpdillyicious, but on most days, not so.

The Rev watches a little of RR when he visits Momma Rev.  but momma Rev gets a little ticked off when The Rev spends the whole show critiquing her jubblies rather than paying attention to the food.  Momma Rev cools off when The Rev assures her, "Mother, I ogle her titties only in the interest of science."

The Doc likes RR as well, but when I see her, I suddenly have the urge to eat Hershey Kisses. Is it subliminal?

X,
Hopefully you were coherent enough at the time to look her in the eyes while wiping your lower lip and say, "Now let that be a lesson for you!"

Those wings will do it every time.

Phil,
Unfortunately, no! The other "beautiful" thing is that I went to bed at 6:00 PM, woke up at 9:10 PM and realized I had a poker game to attend next door. I was the only winner and Mrs. Doc was not at home when all this hurling occured, nor when Doc was sleeping, but came during the poker game and said "be thankful your friends are with you." Not sure what she meant by that.....lol

Doc says beware of your friend "Gentleman Jack." Be careful not to consume 5 or 6 shots of "GJ" and then wash it down with 5 or 6 pints of Yuengling and then attempt to absorb the alcohol with 15 "VERY HOT" Buffalo Wings.

It is a beautiful thing going in, but a rather unpleasant site coming out. Especially when said "hurling" happens at home, on the carpet, in front of a 17-year old daughter and on her new jeans (which she paid for with her own $). Not a favorable memory of Doc's, as Mrs. Doc still uses this memorable family moment at her leisure to put Doc in his place.

Don't think that Cortland or Rowan have anything to do with agriculure, so it must be DVC.
