I am a big Calvin fan but i want to congratulate Dante Hawkins and Luke Dreyer on a great 4 year run at Hope College. 2 outstanding young men.

What a great game at Calvin. The knights played with a lot heart and took down the league leading comets. Everybody played well. Seniors Canonie and Wilks left it all out on the court with great play on both ends of the court. Canonie severly rolled his ankle, had to leave the game for exam and retape, and came back limping but finished with a team leading 36 minutes. The fans and his teammates appreciated the effort. Calvin will be very tough next year with all of the returning players.

It wasn't pretty but a gut check win for Calvin last night. Alma never gave up, and actually got the lead a couple of time late in the game. Even though Calvin held a size advantage, Alma battled them pretty tough in the paint.

One little side note, it looked like harris from adrian got in the coaches doghouse around the 9 minute mark, and didn't get back in the game. He was having a good game until than. I don't think it would of changed the outcome, just maybe the margin of victory. Great all around game from Calvin, looks like Wilks is starting to shoot better.

Assists are a subjective stat, you can be magic or john stockton and kareem or karl malone don't make the shots no assists. Canonie stole 2 passes and set up 2 breakaways and both didn't score but got to foul line, no assist. I was surprised at the stat line.

If Calvin puts token pressure in the back court and makes the pg burn some time, the tip in is moot. Amoros is 6" shorter than the kzoo pg, he is not going to be able to contest the shot. Anyways, the game should of not come down to it. Hopefully they will bounce back on saturday.

Old knight you are wrong, the video is up kzoo site, canonie acted like he was guarding the pg, but he went with the scorer, amoros didn't put any pressure on the ball until it was past half court. It is very easy to see on the video.

I didn't like the fact that calvin didn't pick up the pg until he was past mid court. a 1/2 second more time off the clock would the tip in moot.

Great defense, Walters and Bykerk contesting shots allow Canonie and Amoros taking chances on disrupting plays. Canonie held their leading score to 6 on 2-9 fg. Calvin plays at this level, they are going tough to beat by the end of the yearl

The Laketa kid from alma was a great shooter. I watched him warm up against Calvin and it seem like he never missed a shot. When he moved it look like he had a hitch in giddy up. I saw that the 2 bigs from alma didn't play in their last game.
