My only concern is that NCC's defense is pretty decimated. Cortland may be able to put some points up as NCC's defense has to be a little emotionally drained after their effort at Wartburg. NCC'S offense keeps rolling, I wonder if Coleman will be used more to pound the Cortland d-line.

I'm not an insider on injuries, I know NCC lost a tight end early in the season and did they also lose to injury a D Tackle Lester? I saw him last year against Wheaton and he caused all kinds of problems.

The CCIW looks slow to get back to normal. North Central is a solid, organized bunch, but may have trouble scoring. They would seem to be a third place team. I have to believe Wheaton will turn it around post- Felske, as they have too much talent. I have seen enough times where a new coach comes in and inherits talent and does not realize the effort the prior coach put in to recruiting. I'll take a wait and see on IWU as the school offers a lot of things to attract players and I have not seen this group yet. .

That probation for Rhodes looks like the NCAA going after low hanging fruit. Rhodes will not want to spend the money or resources to fight it like a larger program would.

The UW-Whitewater - Berry game will really give an indication where the SAA is at. Berry is in a prime recruiting area as the Atlanta metro area along with north Georgia, west Alabama and the Chattanooga area are loaded with talent and have a lot of private schools to recruit from. I'm hoping it's a good game and the conference has shown improvement.

Depauw has always been been a competitive program. The score of their game last night a 9-0 loss to Centre College and a 1-3 start to the season caught my attention. Is there a rash of injuries, players that did not come back, COVID quarantines, coach leaving or some reason for the drastic dropoff?

That is a big surprise about Conlon at Washington U. It was always impressive the quality of student-Athletes they had based on the cost and academic requirements of Washington U..
You look at the top 15 or so women's teams and they always have a mix of players that could have played at some level of D1. Give a lot of credit to the coaches for their hard work in recruiting and the schools for finding these type of student athletes that usually have to meet tough academic standards.

Alex Garuba, a former All-American player at Centre College, was signed in late March by Atlanta United 2 of the USL and has been seeing playing time as a forward.

A really interesting article in today's Wall Street Journal on Coronavirus Pushes Colleges to the Breaking Point. I don't think the link will share except to paid subscribers.

I did not realize until I saw the article that MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Il was closing. The article quotes the author of the "The College Stress Test" that 200 of the nation's 1,000 private, liberal arts colleges could close in the next year. It is a lengthy article on multiple issues and mentions a number of D-3 schools.  It is a worthwhile read.

Long time Berry College coach, Lorenzo Canalis, announced his retirement. He was at Berry for 25 years. Wonder if his long time assistant will get the job.

It is a very desirable position, beautiful campus, within 45 minutes - two hours of most of the Atlanta metro area for recruiting purposes, decent facilities and the school is financially strong.

I have a feeling the Lantern in Naperville will be rocking until closing time.

It makes you realize how good a team Mt. Union was again this year and what an effort to get by that powerhouse.

Great run, they deserved it.

More than time to get Kamienski, Rutter, Greenfield and some of the starters out of there. They have a game on Friday.

I did not realize how many college head football coaches came from Wheaton. I wonder if there is any other CCIW school that comes close to it.

It's good to see all the positive comments and respect for Coach Swider.  You don't see that often about coaches on blogs.

The Sewanee position just opened up.  College is in the mountains by itself. It has a loyal alumni base, but it's a different atmosphere because of its isolation.

Finally got over the hump with the big boys. I have never seen a NCC offensive performance against a quality team like that. Congrats to everyone!
