Regis Scafe gone at JCU, anyone hear of this?

Other than Candle, good possibilities.

Still like Monty, think he would like to come back north. Being an outsider in the South hurts recruiting. (Damn Yankees)

Hallett would make a quick turn around.
Sirianni would be extremely attractive, steady record, clean program. Like both, not familiar with Raeburn.

I can tell you this, Walsh would love to have anyone that possess LK's qualities as a coach and a man.

Going out on a limb here, but I look for a LK protege' to be the next coach at Walsh.
1. There are plenty of them with the experience to handle the job.
2. They would have a foot in the door for recruiting (the DII scholarship is icing on the cake)
3. May or may not be an issue, (Never was at Mount for sure) there are a lot of Catholics that have been under LK's tutelage through the years.
4. Could we see the return of a former DC now coaching down south? (end of limb I know)
5. Not young, but could easily assemble a young staff of former Raiders.

"I also hope Manning does a better job with the O line there than he did at Mount.  I really believe that was the weakness of Mount this year and did not see them improve much throughout the season. There were a couple injuries that hurt, so maybe that was the underlying issue.."

Oh, it was. It definitely was.

Remember when there was a quarterly list published about all of the ex-mount players coaching at some level? I can't remember if it was Ric or the school who published it.
It has been a couple years but I would love to see a current list. This compilation would let people see that LK is not only a great coach, but a great leader of men.
You can talk about wins and losses and show what he has done for the school. But talk about his legacy and see what he has done for people.
I don't know how long LK will grace us on the sideline, but I think Mount, the OAC, D3 and all of football should appreciate what he has done for the sport.
As I get off my soapbox, I wish all a Merry and safe Holiday season. Good night and God bless.

OHSAA (the crooks) allow 5 quarters per week I believe. With a degree of levity for blowout game situations.

That's that law school education talking. Congrats by the way see you in June.

I have no problem with that. But,no kid leaves a system without looking at as " going to greener pastures". But you are right, this is not the place. Maybe sometime I'll meet you at the hood.

Everyone is looking at the wrong way. People blame the parochial schools for "taking" the public school athletes. No one is "taken" they are given reasons to attend the parochial system. If you want to keep kids in the public system give them a reason.
Also:
1. open enrollment is an equalizer in many locations.
2. in sub-standard systems the voucher system is a gift to parochial schools.
3. Most believe, (I say most, and I say believe) one will get a better education in the parochial system.
4. Not unlike Mount "success breeds success"
5. Personal experience: I had 3 kids attend a parochial high school. Oldest (now graduating from law school) received a great deal of financial aid, 3rd in class in high school.
Second son All-Ohio in football, all conference the whole deal, received about half as much. Was in top 10 % of class.
Daughter received the most money, good student but since we had 2 in college, she got the most money. (God love her can't chew gum and walk as far as athletics.)

I don't like the showboating in football, especially in college. I really liked the way Kmic would hand the ball to the ref like it was all in a days work. On the other hand, Pierre can talk the talk.....because he can walk the walk.

Gawd, I love football. But I'll take the academics anytime.
Being good in sports is great, but being good in academics will last a lot longer.

Rocca by rule can't return to the game if the drs. or trainers even think he had a concussion.

This is not even a factor. LK wants to win, but would not do so at the expense of the health of any of his players.

Tongue in cheek, to a degree. One sure has to be impressed with the number and caliber of coaches that played and/or coached under LK. I guess what I am trying to say is that BW and JCU would be foolish not to give a look at some of LK's disciples.
There are a lot of coaches out there that would not have even been looked at because they only played D3 ball. Because they were LK's wing they are given much greater consideration.

Looks like Miami of Ohio might have to hand the reigns as the "cradle of coaches" over to Mount.
Do BW and JCU have to hire a Mount guy as HC?
NO.
Should they?
Depends who's available. There sure is a big pool of experienced coaches from Mount.   Many, I am sure would relish a chance to coach against LK. (At least once)
