Can someone tell me why all of the MIAA conference games are only 7 innings? http://www.miaa.org/sports/bsb/2013-14/index

Would the WIAC ever consider this?

Why not take the 3 points there? Well within FG range.

What a win for UWO! As an alum who witnessed the end of the Phil Meyer era, i'm so glad to see the program taking off and the students and community supporting them. I honestly had a laptop up and running at my neighbors house during his SEC Championship party. Proof: http://imgur.com/ZqHYw

Also, I have to give UWO's radio/tv/film program tons of props too. The broadcast quality stands out significantly over what Linfield produced today. Hail Titans!

I'm still wondering how similar UWP's offense is to Linfield's. Is there anyone out there who's seen both teams play and can provide any info where that's concerned?

Gotta think that Linfield looks at that UW-P game tape to get an idea of how UW-O will scheme defensively.

Except Linfield won't get game tape of UWP-UWO. You only get the three most reent games to review.

Wow. Did not know that. Is that rule instituted in all divisions of NCAA football?

About 14 minutes of UW-O's post game presser was posted by d3football. Great watch, i'm actually surprised by how candid Coach Cerroni is in many of these questions.

Thanks for posting kluch.
That was interesting and refreshing, I really enjoyed Coach Cerroni's genuine personality and his candid answers.  I'm an even bigger fan now.

I think you see why so many enjoyed playing for him.  8-)

What I thought most interesting was, at around the 9:50 mark, Coach Cerroni talks about the secondary issues. "Our corners can't be put on islands all the time". Do you think we can expect to see Cerroni dial back the blitz schemes and stick in zone coverage in order to keep the Linfield WR's in front of them and give them as much safety help as possible?
Also wondering, for those in the know, would Platteville be a good comparison to Linfield as far as offensive scheme is concerned? If you take a quick look at both UW-P and Linfield's cumulative offensive season stats, the similarities are there.

Gotta love irony. Greg Carlson, the St. Scholastica head coach, is a UW-Oshkosh alum.

Anybody paying attention to Oshkosh? Does their win over NAIA #2 Ohio Dominican give them any clout going into WIAC play?

Just got word that ex oshkosh pitcher Jerimiah Gowey was signed by the St. Joe Blacksnakes (a member of the American Association) after working with Chris Bosio for the last year. Congrats to Gowey, he never really had "it" at oshkosh but it seems that he's got his stuff together and is now getting paid to play the game.

Wagner get your story straight here at first you said "I kind of wish one of the req's for RTF would be a course in bb/fb coaching or officiating (if they had such a class)." THEN you say you took the class? "Yup, took both of those courses." If you took them then why did you make the statement inside the parenthsis?
I took coaching football, taught by one of the pre-meyer coaches.  It was me a girl in the Athletic Training staff and the rest of the class was the football team.  I played football in elementary, middle and high school, I didn't learn a thing from the class.
I wish I would have had time (in my 5 years at UWO) to take coaching Basketball with TVD, would have been awesome and alot more interesting than coaching football.

If Oshkosh was able to shift the floor closer to the concession stand and then drop a barrier on the far end, then you can STILL have the 5000 capacity, still be able to host indoor track and field events, but not have such a GIANT building...

Eh, I don't think so. The way the floor  is configured, you really can't just move the court. A new one would have to be installed.
IMO Keep the concession stand end open. With the option for putting overflow bleachers on that end (to close it off somewhat) along with dj jazzy julie or whomever.
That divider curtain is the best idea for the other half. Every company that manufactures pro level equipment offers those things...does the Athletic department have the cash for it? That's another question. There's a lot of building happening there with the new Fitness Center (student wellness) and the Oshkosh Sports Complex across the river (football, baseball, softball, outdoor track) so I'm sure they can slip in a curtain in the budget somewhere.  :)
