Saw that the Bucs (no strangers to having D3FB players on their team) invited Tufts QB Alex Snyder to their UDFA tryout next weekend in Tampa.

Good luck to the kid, but he wasn't even the best QB on his own team, never mind the NESCAC.....

The QB coach in Tampa is an Eph '96 or '97 guy.... I'm sure he'll figure that out quickly.

Good luck to Alex! I think this is exciting for all NESCAC football fanatics. I will say I have to agree with NESCAC.Football.Observer on this one in regards to his comment. Looking at the glass half full here hopefully more standout players will the get the opportunity this young man is receiving, especially since he wasn't even the best player in the conference or on the team in my opinion and that's coming from a TUFTS fan.

Hoop Fanatic-
You have some insight on Bullard- have you seen him play?  where does your input come from?

Yes, I actually got watch Canterbury once last year against HHCD. I have also looked up some clips on the world wide web and the kid can make some plays.

Thank you @Nescacman. I'm very intrigued to see how next years 9 game season will go. Sorry for not trusting you and being more patient... Who doesn't love extra football???

Scouting report on Marcus Bullard is a physical linebacker who can also go sideline to sideline. Good in both run and pass coverage. I look at a kid like him coming in and sitting out a year before he starts cracking skulls as a sophomore. Could play as a freshman but a year to learn the system and get bigger, faster, and stronger will do him wonders.

Sad. Hate to see a program struggle that has the potential to do well in a great conference. On the flip side, that will help out my tufts who I heard are bringing in a solid recruiting class that can hopefully propel them to the top!

@ColbyFootball Are you aware of any recruits that Colby is bringing in that could have an impact right away for the mules?

I would hate to be a coach.  You're gone if you don't win 80% of the games. Aren't we getting a little overboard with our expectations?  Isn't Colby investing some $200 million on totally new athletic facilities? The AD is leaving to be closer to family in another state. Nothing devious here. And another great AD will be hired. The College is doing great,  in athletics as well as academics.

My son played at Tufts and heard from a buddy who played at Colby that said they are currently trying to renovate many of their already existing facilities. I don't know to what degree things will be changed and how much they will invest into their different sports but there is expected to be some upgrades coming in the near future.
All the money and facilities in the world won't do it. Tufts started winning because they have a coach who gets it. Wesleyan did the same thing. Coaching matters.

Very accurate! Coaching makes a tremendous difference in most all sports and especially in football. All I heard was that Colby was going to be spending more money in the near future on athletics. Very excited to see if Michaeles will be able to improve himself after a less than inspiring start now that he has had a few years of experience under his belt and has had time to implement his style. From what I've seen though, and I hope I'm wrong, it looks like we have a better chance of seeing Trump delete his twitter rather than Colby becoming relevant again.

Hello all fellow Hoop Fanatics! I usually try to keep up with the centennial as much as possible through the board when I cannot attend games throughout the year due to different circumstances that seem to always pop up. It does seem as if the mens side of the cent has been getting some substantial gossip with all the vacancies in head coaching positions and deservedly so.

I am much more intrigued though on the women's side of the cent! Does anybody have any idea who Hopkins is going to replace now with the absence of Nancy Funk?!?!?! Funk was a great coach but more importantly a great mentor for those young women that got the privilege to learn and play under her. In my opinion she was the second best coach in the conference, only second to the Mules Ron Rohn.

The Hopkins job is a job many coaches dream of and could definitely entertain the likes of some big names at other head coaching positions around the country. Personally, I would like to think that Hopkins has an assistant that could step up and do the job given that Funk was such a great mentor and leader but that could be a long shot with the potential applicants. Whomever they do choose, best of luck to them and hopefully they can have the same positive impact on the young ladies the way Funk did.

Quick shoutout to Emily Gibbons on the POY award. Great season and great career. Such a shame to see her get her hurt in the conference championship as I'm sure my bullets could have prevailed over those stinkin Mules :( Always next year though... GO BULLETS!
