That Delaware Valley and Wesley part of the bracket is a joke. Throw Linfield and HSU in there lol. Geography always plays a role I understand that.

Chapman defeats CLU in a game with zero defense, 48-36.  Bautista looked really good tonight, will be interested to see who their matchup is in playoffs assuming the get past the Stags next week.

As for CLU both of their 2 losses this year have been heartbreakers. Coach Mac can't be happy getting oh so close to being back atop the SCIAC. Kingsmen graduate a lot something tells me next year will be a tough one.

Chapman won the SCIAC tonight with the win. They better hope they get sent to Linfield, because it will be a painful death if they get sent to Belton.

Agreed, if Chapman had a better defense I'd say they have a solid chance vs Linfield. But that Wildcat defense is just too good I don't see it happening but who knows?

Somewhat unrelated but Oxy isn't the only school with a dysfunctional athletic director. Division 2 Humboldt State is going to cut their program after 80 some years (currently 5-1) at the end of the year for seemingly no reason.

I don't think you've been following D-II football on the west coast. There are so few teams it's impossible to get games and it's as expensive for them to travel as it is for everyone else.

Fair enough the GNAC is a mess agreed especially considering Simon Frasier who has 5 games dating back to 2013. That being said Humboldt is a solid football program under coach Smith it seems like they could find a home somewhere, just sad to see a longtime program go.

I've said all year I feel like Cal Lutheran is the best team in the SCIAC. They are finally healthy on the offensive line which will be big in next weeks matchup vs Chapman.

Big time play makers at Receiver in Lacombe and Wendell, with Besson at RB and Freidrichson at Q they have big time offensive fire power. Problem is defense is just alright so we will see, next Saturdays game should be a good one.

Regardless SCIAC champ to play UMHB in first round I would assume, no way anyone gets past that one

How does the AD at Oxy still have her job???? Insanity that not long ago Oxy was ranked and a SCIAC contender and now they cancel a few days before the game?? Complete disgrace.

Hey Pat, who wins in a toilet bowl matchup: Fake NCAA Team Lewis Clark Valley or Occidental?

If I received a letter like that from my alma mater I really don't know what I would do.

There is no chance Oxy wins a game this year and unless the new coaches can polish turns like no other, recruiting is going to be an absolute nightmare.

High school players, are you thinking about playing football at Oxy? Here, read this first.

My friends step son plays Junior College ball up in Seattle but is originally from California. He is looking at a few D3 and and NAIA schools and despite Oxy being such a great academic institution my friend said "There is no way I would pay for him to play there. Not to mention he would never want to go there with the state the program is in." It's really laughable considering Oxy is a program with some tradition that it could ever get this bad.

La Verne beats Cal Lu 28-27.  There is absolutely no other way to put it than Cal Lu crapped this one away 100%.  Cal Lu has some serious work to do with their o-line or they are going to go 4-5 for the 5th year in a row.  Just an awful game.

Agreed but, Cal Lu had two starters on the offensive line out with injury in this game, will need those guys back ASAP. They have plenty of play makers on defense and some really good skill players on offense. Oh and they really need to recruit a kicker good lord.

All credit to La Verne for pulling it out but man did the the Kingsmen really give them that one

Really had some high expectations for Cal Lu this season, but they absolutely threw away the La Verne game. Pick Six and a fumble late in the fourth put La Verne back in it. Then the Kingsmen miss a short field goal that would have been the game winner. Then Cal Lu gets the ball back on La Verne's 40 and then Adam Friedrichsen takes a terrible sack and pretty much ends the game.

28-7 Cal Lu

Willamette throws an interception but gets bailed out by a gift targeting penalty. Cal Lutheran leads 21-7

Was talking to a close friend of mine whose Son is now is at George Fox, was telling me his son gave a good hard look at PLU but eventually choose George Fox. Told me PLU not having it's own football stadium on campus was really a big factor in his decision. I would imagine this continues to hurt PLU in recruiting, with a program with as much tradition as PLU how do they still not have their own stadium? I know a while back there were talks of a new stadium but that seems to have died off. Anyone have any knowledge on PLU getting a stadium anytime soon?

LCV originally started by playing seattle area Junior College teams and after some sustained success made the jump as an NCAA independent.

I'm sorry, but that's just not correct. They are not an NCAA independent because they are not members of the NCAA.

You are correct they are an NCAA affiliate. Let's move on from the topic now

No. They are not even an NCAA affiliate. They are just an independent club team that has no membership or relationship with the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Sorry. I'm not going to move on until we're done posting misinformation.

I was just going off what their website stated. Sorry if I posted misinformation I was doing my best to fill people in had no intentions of doing otherwise. Perhaps I am wrong!
