I'm gonna miss my 0-9 this year

I'm very sad to hear this news. Unfortunately it seems to me this is only the beginning of things going the other way for the SCIAC.

Good News is we keep the shoes forever :)

Bad news is now who are we going to beat?

Big Week for the SCIAC, all very close games that could easily go either way

Warning Snowflakes, for mild entertainment purposes only, some may say none. If you have a man bun I suggest stop here.

Oxy/Whittier, I predict Pen is mightier than a Flag destroyer...Poets moved the ball on CU and are improved...glad to see both programs moving forward a bit
LV/PP, Higher ACT test scores prevail ...I like how PP game plans, not sure about the new coordinators at LV, talent seems to have dropped at LV
CMS/CLU, this time the Regals prevail over Athenas....I am a coach Mac fan...they are just so up and down...Worried about CLU linemen
UR/CU...I have to go with the Losers. It should be close. Can CU run on UR...How will CU contain our QB,....It will come down to turnovers and mental errors. UR had a lot to clean up and went backwards last week. UR has not played well at CU lately...maybe like Linfield this might change. Going to be fun.

thank you for your breakdown

Go Poets!

I have not had the chance to get to a Poet game yet. Does anyone have any scouting reports? The roster number seems to be up and they have won a few already.

baby steps for my Poets maybe?

thanks in advance

BJ Hammer brings intensity and work ethic to wherever he goes. I think Bowdoin will be quite happy with this hire

Good Luck Coach

CLU & Coach Mac & staff are top shelve; however the administration there isn't football or Male sport friendly. take a look at the talent Mac and Emma bring in at the beginning of fall season and then see how many of those are there when school starts. The price is 5x times higher than every school east of California. If I could take coach Mac and staff and put them in another state and program he would be a constant winner. One of the best player coaches my son ever played for.
Best of Luck CLU and coach Mac, you're a god fearing man.
Thank you

Coach is a great guy..my dealings with him have been nothing but great.

off topic:

I wonder if at some point soon, my beloved Poets will end the football program? It seems that they just cant even become remotely competitive.  thoughts?

I believe the WC athletic department administration is committed.  I am certain the WC's previous president was committed to the program - she supported all sports to the extent that she would don the Johnny Poet mascot costume - she was a visible fan.  I know nothing of the new president and her view on athletics, I am hopeful she will continue her predessor's enthusiasm.

Bottom line though, losing like they do is not a good look.  Mike Neale is coming up on year 4 which means the next 2 years will feature - for the first time - seniors and juniors he recruited.  They finished with a 53 man roster...that's precarious.  I hope Neale cracks the code, but he still has a long way to go.

Im a huge fan of past President Herzberger and former AD Rob Coleman. They did all they could and more. It just seems hard to recruit there for obvious reasons. Our family experience was top notch, we loved the school and the people we crossed paths with will always be a wonderful memory for us. Some we still see and consider family...

Im just frustrated they cant turn the corner. I do not have the answers Im afraid.

Stop complaining. By the way, what is one step below "remotely"?

I dont follow this conference closely, so excuse my ignorance if it shows its ugly head. It appears that BJ has turned that thing around and Im sure this weekend is a huge one for his Gators

Im very happy for him and his family. Best of luck to him and the team this weekend
