How does the song go...."Two out of three ain't bad....";  it's actually surprising to me how few sweeps there are in conference play.  Every winning pitcher in the series was a senior which is telling.  Big weekend for both programs coming up.

surprising.  any examples of the questionable behavior?

I don't want to name names because whatever these kids do, they're kids and don't warrant being called out by us.  But let's just say, late game, i.e., game well over, trash-talking and belittling.  outrageous excessive celebration, by starters, of late-game garbage time scores. late-game, i.e. game well over, taunting and scuffling.  and worst of all, coach trash-talking opponent players.  You know, as a parent you feel things in the stands about the way the opponent is handling it's trouncing of your boys.  It's never fun, and I'm not denying kids' right to celebrate, but there's ways to do it and ways not to do it.  so just say that Trinity was not even close to being the worst offender.  nothing that happened in the loss to Trinity gave reason for unhappiness.  other than parents screaming for more up until the last second of play.  but they're parents, so they get a pass.

Amherst scored their last TD against Hamilton with 8:28 left in the THIRD Quarter.  Is that what you wrote about as "outrageous excessive celebration, by starters, of late-game garbage time scores"?  I don't know about the other stuff because I wasn't at the game, but what you described is out of character for the Amherst team I've seen in this and in prior years.  I do know the team had a collective chip on their shoulder about the NBN prediction of a Hamilton win, so they might have been a little more emotional than usual - but I have a hard time believing it was as bad as you've written.
