We are considering coming down for the game and would love to hear some suggestions on travel plans.
Do most fly into Austin or DFW? Austin looks to be more expensive with fewer options from Chicago.
Do visitors typically stay in Belton or perhaps Temple or even Austin?
I've wanted to visit Austin (hoping for country music) for some time, maybe we could go after the game Saturday for the night. The problem is if we fly in/out of DFW, I imagine it's a 3 hour drive from Austin.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Austin is the easier drive. It's not bad it it isn't rush hour. Belton is about 1 hour from the airport. Maybe a tad more. If you want to experimence Austin (which you totally should!) then you need to fly into there. Dallas is more like a 5 hour drive from Austin. 35 is an awful highway.

FWIW 5dimes has the following lines on the two semifinal games:

UMU -7.5 with the O/U at 65.5
UMHB -15 with the O/U at 43.5

Gimme Oshkosh and UMHB with the under on both.

Cru wins 30-10 I think.

No clue who wins the other game, but I think it's by one score.

Just a thought Cru folks, but why dont we sing Up with the Purple on Senior day (and/or at the last home game of the season) as a moment of connection between Seniors and Alumns? I think that would be a very cool moment

My senior year, 2012, most seniors didn't know the words or that the song even existed. I'm not sure how often it gets sung but senior day does seem like a good time to do it.

Let's just get the current students to know the words to the school song again... I'd be happy with that! It's pathetic. They ought to make freshman sing it every 5 minutes all welcome week again.

Ok I'll quit ranting like an old man now.

"If you told me who Mary Hardin Baylor is, I don't know who they are," said JoJo Ortiz.

Hmmmm, this seems strange.

Reminds me of one of Coach Smith's favorite sayings "You don't know, what you don't know."  I have a feeling Brockport is soon going to know a whole lot more about what UMHB is all about after Saturday. I hope the Cru pants these chumps.

Neutral fans are almost always on the side of the underdog. You would really have to do a lot to turn the neutral against a surprise team like this which is really quite astounding that they have found a way to do that. I mean the overly cocky trash talking last week, the quote in the article, the comment about a "suitable" stadium... they just won't quit shooting themselves in the feet.

"Hope they get some good BBQ"

I'll have to check if Miller's serves BBQ crow cause that's what they'll have to eat  :D

The attitude I've seen from last week and that article and elsewhere is getting me very excited to see a beat down.

Yea our boys gotta still take them as serious as they would anybody to be ready, but as an alum whose just gonna say what I think straight up, I just don't see how UMHB doesn't win by 20+ especially if they come in with that cockiness.

AJ won't have none of that! Lol

Well, per a recent tweet, at least Crusader Stadium is "suitable" for Brockport to play in.  ::)

That was tongue and cheek though right?

Your thoughts on: Will Brockport punt/kickoff to UMHB's #1, Bryce Wilkerson?

I hope!

Hi y'all. LOOOONNGGG time lurker here finally got an account.

I think one thing these Wesley fans need to keep in mind when talking about their past success is that UMHB is bringing in a higher caliber of player than they used to in my opinion. There has been a noticeable jump since the Cruthedral was built.

Not sure what Wesley fans you are all talking about but since I am the one who posts the most I will take it as me.

It might be more than just Wesley fans then, but I was referring to people over on the East region board referencing Wesley's past success as a reason why another East region team can compete and/or win as well as what Fisher's offense did to UMHB's D in 2013 I think. I was just trying to make a point that I don't think that comparison holds up because UMHB has a higher level of talent than we used to.
