The Bates search is definitely taking much longer than expected - multiple candidates have been brought to campus only to turn down any offers made. First Post comes out with a bang there Gipper. What is the salary offered for that position if I may ask?
The number is not what is important - just noting the lack of commitment to building and supporting a full coaching staff. The pitfall of the program the past 2 seasons has been a lack of support staff/assistant coaches and it does not look like anything is changing on that front.
With that being said, this could be a great opportunity to take a flyer on a younger, less experienced coach who could come in and bring some much needed energy to the program...
