Southwestern, if they can hold on to the ball, can do some damage on the ground. But its doubtful if they can complete a forward pass. Almost like they have an RB at QB. If UMHBs run defense comes to play -- this game will be over by half.
I agree. Too many turnovers against ETBU and next thing you know we are down 20 in the 1st. LA College done a fairly good job stopping the run enough to where we threw the ball more than I'd seen in 5 games. And you're right, he (QB) is usually the leader in rushing attempts and yards. This is only my 1st year watching their offense though. Could be a long day for the Pirates.
Will you be in Belton? Would you or some friends like a free tshirt in SU colors?  ;D
Naw, I'll be in Lake Charles watching the McNeese St vs SFA game. Thanks for the offer though.

Does anyone have any suggestion on where to grab a bite before the TLU/UMHB Game? The cheaper the better, seeing as I'm a broke college student haha

We always eat at Gg's Corner Cafe in Marion (About 12 mins from TLU) or at the Dixie Grille in Sequin. I'm a chicken fried steak kinda guy and Gg's is really good.

Ouch. I hope it was nothing serious and that he can rebound soon.

I guess UMHB has some players that are banged up. Defensively, a couple guys pegged to start on the DLine are hurt. Hopefully they can come back in a couple weeks.
Hate for any kid to miss a game due to injury, but y'all are so deep at every position, will it even be noticed? Plus I don't see SR slowing down that offense much. Too much speed! I look for K.J. to take another one to the house this week on special teams also.

that sims kid can run a little bit.
Miller too. Looks like the Crusaders scored a home run with these transfers. The offense looks as explosive as it's been in a long time.
Told ya'll about that Miller kid! Been screwing me since youth football! One heck of a talent and a great kid!

Several interesting transfers for UMHB, one being from Warner Robbins, GA. You LLWS spectators out there know this was a special team. He's a big DL player.

Another, a DB from Chicago, is not on the 2Deep this week.

Of course, the two big ones are the track runner from A&M, Aaron Simms, and Luke Poorman.

I'm excited to see this team play. There are so many unknowns.

Another explosive player y'all got is Miller from ETBU. Kid is something else!

Welcome aboard SUPirate. I have good friends who have a daughter that started SU this year. I now have 2 at UMHB and will gladly take donations by paypal.

Thanks! I hear ya about the donations. I thought I had this all a lot cheaper until the very end. Then bam! Changed his mind!

I am new to D3 Football as my son is a freshman this year and I just found this sight a few days ago.  Nice to chat and see what is going on around the conference.

Welcome to the boards! Glad to have a Southwestern fan on board!

Are there many Pirate fans on board? All I see are mostly UMHB and HSU.
+1! SUPirate, welcome aboard.

Thanks!

Welcome to the boards. Nice to have some Southwestern representation on this board. Oh, don't mind me. I'm an old Mount Union alum from the OAC board, but I roam around.
Pat Coleman and staff do a great job keeping this site going. You'll have fun and can even learn lots of stuff.
Best to your son in school. Go Pirates. Go Raiders! In fact, Go Everybody! ☠🏈

Also gave you a +K just to help you get going!

Thanks! I'm still trying to educate myself on D3 Football and all the teams as I thought we were headed to Midwestern State or San Angelo State. Then SU gave a pretty good push and he decided on the location and I guess being closer to his girlfriend. DII or DIII didn't matter to him, he just wanted to get an education and play football and Southwestern is a good school. Just a little more cost for me. So now we are Pirates!
