Stevens with 6 in the back looks like in OT. Withstood an absolute barrage over the last 20 of regular time.

(As an extremely biased fan) Hoping to see an exciting game today between Stevens and Chicago! The biggest game for Stevens in over a decade, with their last Final4 appearance (2008) leading to a national runner-up finish vs Messiah. That national final went to penalties, and if today's game goes to penalties, my heart might just hit 500 bpm.
Chicago is the definition of pedigree, making 4 of the last 5 final4s, an undefeated season, and a style of soccer that has dominated Division 3 for the past decade. Have only ever watched 2 Chicago games, today marks my third ever.
Proud of the Ducks no matter what happens, they've had an incredible year, with all the Seniors and Graduate students playing a massive role in the journey. Will be driving down to Roanoake to watch the final if the Ducks win today. For a lot of us, I'm sure a win for the USMNT on Saturday followed with a D3 national championship would go down as one of the most memorable days of our lives.
GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to CC and to all teams who competed in division 3 soccer this season! not easy to stay motivated after the year off, and basically waiting 2 years between seasons, but was fantastic to see a lot of talented and hardworking young adults competing! Also thanks to the community here at d3Boards for always giving the sparknotes for those who can't watch a game. Some super cool people on this forum! As the boards go a bit quiet over the next few months, will look forward to talking to you all in the new year. I'm based in the NYC area so if anyone wants to grab a drink or coffee sometime in the new year feel free to PM. Could do some sort of d3boards event or something haha!!
Happy Holidays in advance to you all!

Fantastic writeup Mr. Right!! Spot on about the flow of play, atmosphere, physicality, and chances in the game. From someone whom was there in person, well done and hoping the streaming situation is fixed by this weekend. Heard from others that the commentators were a joke and essentially spent their time getting called out in the comments of the stream.

d3commentr that is crazy about the referee!! no wonder he was letting so much go uncalled/carded!!!

The Flounder has found his way home....Based on the writing Flounder I am guessing a few drinks in ya? PK's can be nervy and some have found the drink to ease the viewer's nerve.

I will say I heard in mid October from a Springfield player that said "Stevens was the best team they had faced all year". At the time I thought nothing of it but now I know why. They really came to play and gave it absolutely everything they had.

Appreciate it Mr. Right! Was lucky enough to be able to be at the Tufts v Stevens game in person and was one of the most exciting and nervy games I've been at in all my years of watching the Ducks! Will take any sh*t coming my way on the chin as this is a NESCAC feed, but was not impressed with Tufts in any way. Didn't look up for the game, played like they were already counting their Sweet 16 chickens, and would be confident in saying Stevens had the significantly better chances. Was also a bit disappointed at some of the clearly targeted fouls (Tufts sub goes studs up on Stevens center back with 24 seconds left) and language from the Jumbos leading into some straight up violent behavior. Tough to blame the kids playing, but was not a classy win for Tufts in my honest opinion. Both teams clearly put a lot of work into their penalty routines, and it showed as it took 13 rounds to find a winner. Typically will cheer for the team that beats Stevens in the tournament, but this year will be wearing a Washington College hat next weekend. Hoping for some more exciting games as we all enjoy the sport that we love at the D3 level!

Haverford and Stevens tied 2-2 this morning @Haverford. Have no data more than that.

Men's soccer / 2021 Season Predictions
August 04, 2021, 11:35:06 AM
What is everyone's prediction on how the 2021 season will turn out? My way to early prediction is below:
Freedom: Stevens beats Lycoming in final. Lycoming gets an at large bid to NCAA. (yes I'm biased  ;D)
Commonwealth: Messiah beats Eastern in final. Eastern left looking out of the big dance, by the slightest margin (first 4 out NCAA)

Thoughts??

Paul was a legendary player at Stevens during an extremely dominant era for the program. He went on to assistant coach at Stevens before joining Navy coach Tim O'Donohue (another former Stevens Coach) in Annapolis. Hats off to a player I used to love watching play/coach, as well as a great person and Stevens alumni. In these depressing times incredible to see such a great former player make such an impact at a huge program. Hoping to see him as a head coach one day (return back to Stevens?  ;D).

As a Stevens supporter, sad to see the Ducks season come to an end vs Kings. Fair play to Kings, who didn't sit in and played attacking soccer vs the Ducks, in Hoboken no less. The last 15 minutes showed what Stevens was capable of, and with 3 goal line opportunities, Ducks will have a lot to think about over next 9 months. Cheers to the two seniors on the roster, who no doubt had a large impact on the program over the course of their 4 years, and best of luck to them going forwards! For the rest of the lads, returning the same starting 11 next season, expectations have to be high in the Ducks camp. I will be watching the Eastern vs Kings game and will be rooting for the winner throughout NCAA tournament. #COYD

Eastern vs Stevens.....winner takes 1 seed in the MAC Freedom and potential finals home field advantage; likely to see these two match up again in a weeks time. Stevens' first season in conference and first time playing Eastern in recent memory; heard from friends still involved with the program theres even been chirping over social media (all in good fun). About as big a regular season game as it gets for both. Gotta love the storylines in D3 Soccer!!!!

Ducks lose to Diplomats in a heartbreak in the 104th....free kick top of the box slotted into the corner. F&M dominated game for long stretches but Ducks had chances to take the lead as well. Overall a high level game good luck to Dips going forward.

About as big of a game as it gets for Stevens tonight @Franklin Marshall....6-0-0 with striker Cristiano Hocken(number 9) with 4 goals in past 2 games and looking dangerous as a team. Seem to have cleaned up the defense from the first weekend, with just one goal conceded in their past 4, compared to 4 conceded in first 2. Toughest opponents have been Vassar and Rutgers Newark, so tonight will be a whole new level, work is cut out for the backline. Will definitely be streaming this one, and hoping to see a high level, sweet 16/elite 8 game level of play from these 2 teams....anyone else have any high level games from around the country worth tuning in to?
