Football!
Tufts news.

Tufts is having regular scheduled Fall classes as normal with provisions for all variables. Many options for students and calendar is the same as normal. Basically leaving it up to the student and supporting that student with any choice they make. Kinda love that actually.

As too fall sports the AD/Pres are doing all they can to have something. NESCAC is working at it as well along with the schools that want to participate in something that will be better than nothing. Being optimistic of course but realistic as well. Im done with the guessing games. I now wait for information instead of speculating.

Thursday night there's a meeting with Football coach and parents. Im assuming they will learn more at this meeting.

All the news I have regarding Tufts and I don't care about your politics. GO AWAY! Football is why we are here.

Anyone know why the season seems to be starting a week later this year coming?

Schedule question. I know this is a new schedule for this season. Does anyone know if they'll be a rotation every year?

It is remarkable how strong the NESCAC is in athletics.   In women's lacrosse, three of the final four teams are from the NESCAC.  In men's lacrosse, it was the last two standing from the NESCAC.   Tennis is equally represented.   Good stuff, NESCAC.
Would love to see a 10th non-conference game for football and an automatic playoff bid to the NCAA.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One school has their schedule up. I know most all games are played Saturday at 1:00. The night games seem like a great idea. Tufts and Wesleyan Saturday night at 6:00.

Valid points guys. Thanks for the insight.

When do captain held spring practices take place?

Do you think NESCAC will ever go to official spring practices like traditional football programs/leagues do?
Even if its non contact. So many benefits involved with a team getting together during an offseason.

Colby with 28 commits is phenomenal news for those looking for the Mules to continue to become more relevant in the league (and every fan of NESCAC football should desire increased competitiveness).

Agree- they mean business up in Waterville. The Mules have consistently been around 20 recruits in recent years. This is the expected result of the Cosgrove effect. The other Maine teams better get on their horse.

Colby's has 2 good ones-
Zach Cyr RB  BBN 5'9" 190
Marc Dougherty MLB 6'0" 230 New Orleans Jesuit

I know the Dougherty family. What a great kid and ball player. Jesuit plays in the New Orleans catholic league and faces great competition every week.
Yes Colby got a good one.

Replacing 6 snr Olineman, I see 4 on the list do you think there would be more? Or do you think they'll run with what they have plus the freshman?

BTW, Letsgo what position does your son play?

I would assume there is more OL and other recruits. This is just what I found through twitter. My son kinda knows who most of the players are.
My son is Cam OBrien FS/DB Louisiana.

Trinity8-0 - It is interesting to see the demographics and yes I was wondering about Louisiana kids. I think there is a few kids from Florida as well, I just did not want to post what I wasn't 100 percent on. Once I get the confirmation I will post it.

There will be a LB from New Orleans going Colby this year as well.

Can we get a list like this for the other NESCAC schools......Its almost sportless until spring training (baseball) and spring ball (football).....

On an unrelated note, has anyone heard anything about the schedule changes being implemented for next season? I haven't yet seen any formal announcements from the league.

I noticed the schedule on the NESCAC Football site. There is no times but the dates and the order is there. What changes have you heard of?

Awesome!  Although I have nothing to compare it to seems like a really solid recruiting class. I know the majority of the class Ill try to post later tonight.

Hello all. New to the board and new to the NESCAC. My son will be attending Tufts and we're excited about the league.
