On a basketball note, I saw UMHB is letting go of Carroll at the end of the season.

According to Texasfootball.com, UMHB and HSU have been in talks with the Lone Star conference for the last 2 years now. Don't know how that has progressed or if anything has come from this. Really frustrating that we are not hearing anything from the ASC about what is happening.

Don't know if it's updated or if D3football.com even has the information or not, but it appears that UMHB does not have any open dates for 2025 which would indicate they have a full schedule. HSU is showing 3 open dates.
Pat, any input on this?

My point was, this country is full of lawsuits, whether frivolous or not. You can sue for anything nowadays not that I asked for your speculation as to my frame of mind when I wrote that but thanks for asking!

So, I can sue if I drink a cold Coca Cola and it causes me to belch in church so loud that I am humiliated and can't face the congregation ever again? Emotional and spiritual distress?

Yeah, but wondering why he only stayed a year? Did Padron leave on his own, mutual or did he get let go? I had heard he put in for the Head Coaching position at Temple High School when Stewart stepped down.

His play calling was too predictable and they were consistently in third and long situations. Losing a lot on defense it seems. Hope the schedule next year is nothing like this year-------no more boys club teams!

Jeez, gonna start dropping like flies now. This NIL crap and the transfer portal is going to ruin college sports. D3 will be looked at as JV football------come out for a year and earn a chance to get on the Varsity(D1 or D2). Really sad. I would really like to know the graduation rate from schools that sponsor football(all levels)

I think Harmon said it best in the post game interview. They played sloppy in the first half. Coach can only take so much blame---don't blame this on Harmon. Players got to understand they can't take a half off or half ass on their assignments.
