Very proud of those CCIW boys in Naperville!
For Friday...my line...NCC -16 W AND O/U of 66

Pretty cool what's happening within the CCIW.

POOL C...hmmm...maybe its time to require only a nine game schedule (no requirement as of now), start the playoffs one week earlier, expand into 48 teams with will allow 21 Pool C teams in with the top four in each region (16 total) getting a 1st round bye.  What was the last Pool C team to win?

A couple of thoughts about today:

1) Wheaton losing is more due to the deficit they overcame rather than a senseless call.

2) The main duty (and in my opinion the only duty) of officials are to prevent an unfair advantage for one team over another.

3) What happened with the unsportsmanlike penalty for spiking the ball was NOT a situation that created an unfair advantage for anyone.  In that moment, in that game...look the other way and good refs get that.

I'm anything but a Wheaton fan, so no reason to stick up for them.

As far as NCC, they will be in trouble this week.  I assume the are going to PA.  This is a very, very good defense which has been getting better, not worse.  Remember, they were a recovered fumble away from being down in todays game (I think it was 17 14 at that point with Del on the NCC 15.

Still...really impressive stuff from both!

They were up 24-14 at that point.

And you can argue the fumble but I'd argue they were a fluky tipped interception away from being up 24-7 and DV not getting that momentum. Game could have been very different.

Thanks...couldnt remember.

The point is...this D next  week is better and will most likely be played there. Regardless, great show again today!

[Thank you...very, very much.

I wish the Cards all the best tomorrow and every game going forward...except Saturdays when they play IWU...LOL.

I'll be at the NCC game tomorrow.  NCC winner 48-14!

Wheaton....best of luck as well!

Football is a collision and velocity game.  It incites people beyond the norm and takes us outside of who all of us really are on an daily basis.  AndOne is a great fan of NCC, but just a little outside of his "Norm".

Now...I kinda just tripped over this...and laughed....we all have different levels of "Norm"!

HOW DO I BLOCK AN IDIOT? ???

You have just been sent a personal message by AndOne on D3boards.com.

IMPORTANT: Remember, this is just a notification. Please do not reply to this email.

The message they sent you was:

Eash was right?  ???
So you think NCC wasn't really as good (read the Weenies weren't really as bad) as the 69-14 licking they took from North Central? That's a nice combination of both ignorance and a denial of reality.
Did you read ALL the comments? They were from fans/posters from several different teams. But sure, all those guys are wrong, and Eash is right and was telling the truth. You really have already bought the whole pitcher of green Kool-Aid. Thinking Wesleyan had a decent game after getting ass-kicked by 55 points. Dream on.................

And, no, no need for Eash to build a shrine to Thorne. But it would have been nice for him to have told the truth, and to have given the other team the credit they deserved—-something Eash has always found it exceptionally hard to do.[/b][/i][/i]

IS THE FOLLOWING AN INITIATION JOKE FOR THIS THREAD?  IS THIS WHAT THIS BOARD IS ABOUT?

I get this unsolicited crap message from a guy on this board. Now, I guess I get thrown off as he states?

THE FOLLOWING WAS SENT TO ME:

If you were under the impression that Norm Esch is a "class act" you were sold a bill of (defective) goods. He is generally loathed by the other coaching staffs and fans of all the other conference teams.
After IWU was taken apart 69-14 by NCC Esch said "I didn't think they were 69-14 better." He never gives any other teams credit. You can choose not to believe this but if you don't, check out the comments by several fans of several different conference teams on pages 2583-2584.
Not sure what led you to believe he is high class, but that impression is not shared by many outside of Bloomington.

Additionally, since you're new to the board you might not know it's against the terms of service to post any info that is told to you in a private message from any other poster without their permission. Doing so will get you banned from posting.

Good luck to your son at IWU.

Are you joking with this message?  Seriously....
Read what you wrote.  Guess what, Coach Eash was right.  But you take that as not being classy?  Should Coach Eash have built a shrine for Thorne?

Getting banned from having idiots message me with crap like this would be a blessing.  What a cowardly way to talk about someone.

I'll be in the visitors stands Saturday with my son...come say Hi.

AndOne, I get it.  You don't like Eash.  And yes, many of us feel the same.  But you made your point.  Move on and leave this man alone.  You are a Cardinal (I think).  If so, act like one.

Nachos, this is a special time in your son's life.  It goes by way too fast.  I hope you both enjoy every minute of the journey.  I sincerely wish you and your son the best of luck... except on the Saturdays when you play NCC (Sorry, I had to throw that in)!  And no need to sit on the visitor side on Saturday.  Come sit on the home side and cheer on the CCIW - if not the Cardinals

Which visitor stands? There are 2 games in the area Saturday. And you should sit on the home side at either one.

I don't think its illegal to share PM contents  or I know about 50 posters who should be ejected.

Coach Eash, a 100% Class Act!

You have much to learn, young grasshopper. ;) ;D ???

Thank you Mr. Miyagi....is that a NCC helmet?  I might be a little more wise than you know..and I'm still all about NCC and Wheaton this weekend.

Let's just leave it at "Wax-On"...deal?

Good luck and thanks again!

Hi all!  I think I've posted only twice before.  I was informed about these IWU posts.  Joe is my son.

Joe is good kid that is changing schools because IWU offers a great program in his field of study.  Monmouth is a GREAT School with some of the finest people you could ever be around.  The Head Coach, Chad Braun, is one of the best Coaches in D3 football and someone I would trust with my son anytime.  Like Coach Eash, a 100% Class Act!

IWU is providing my son an opportunity to get a great education and an opportunity to compete on the field.  Its not fair to the other kids to anoint him anything more than a teammate.  One way or another, he will help improve upon an already great product by simply competing.  Joe is a very young Freshman who needs a home, and hopefully has found it at IWU.  He's been given an opportunity, and that's where this stands.  Blue Jays comments about his history are pretty much correct.  With that, playing High School ball in the West Suburban Silver is a good training ground to someday play in the CCIW.  I love that brand of football!  Joe is excited to be a part of IWU and I can promise you his work ethic is as good as you will find.  Replacing Brandon Bauer is impossible.  Joe isn't Bauer, Rutter or Bishop (Like that name drop CCIW PEEPS).  He's a young frosh, who's very intelligent and is a heck of an athlete.

What is fact is the CCIW is one of the best Conferences around, if not the best.  Look at the incredible Coaches that lead these programs...Coach Eash is the "Legend".  Elmhurst (for BlueJay I'm assuming) got a good one as well.  Look at Augie now (former Monmouth staff)....but the meat and potato's this year are NCC and Wheaton.  They have validated that the CCIW is the best and will re-validate when they meet in Houston.  Sorry I left out the other CCIW programs, but none of em are poorly coached and all of em have a great deal of talent.

Last....Wheaton and NCC....please go stomp the crap out of the remaining teams from all over this country.  An early congrats on both your 3rd round victories.  I'll flip a coin Saturday Morning and go to that game.

This was not a good Monmouth team. For this team to make the playoffs is pretty weak of the MWC this year.

Hope I believe

I'm a little worried w the future of the conference with SNC leaving. I don't think we're in good shape.

Anyone know who the Scots play non-conference next year? I believe their two year w Wheaton is up.

IL College at Monmouth...thoughts?  This game is kind of interesting.

Hi Fulbak!  Sorry, i actually meant that to be a little less posative than it seemed.  Im new...call it ignorance.

The remaining schedule for MC isnt bad (easy is the wrong word).  With that, they should do well despite an average, at best offense.  Midwest Conference is a bit down this year.  Much like MC, it is built off of younger players.  MC is very strong in the other areas of the game, but not a top 25 team.  As of now, despite the deficiencies, they are the favorite to get the "nod" for the playoff bid.  A good MWC team, playing well and rich with upper classmen, can prevent them from getting there.

Wrong choice of words from a Board Freshmen.

Monmouth should have put 190 on St.N.  Monmouth is a very good team thats been suffering by way of offense.  More specifically, they are forcing the issue by not going in a different difection at QB.

Monmouth will roll over the remainder of their schedule and look very good, statistically speaking.  The one team that can give them fits, and will, is going to be Chicago.
