POOL C is already filling up quick.

Amherst, W&L, Montclair St, Ohio Wesleyan
Three NESCAC (likely)
Washington/Chicago/NYU/Emory - Washington could finish as low as 4th with a loss to Chicago.  Remaining 3 are locks)
Two Centennial (likely)
Otterbein (I believe JC had tie-breaker, but even so, JC would be a lock as well).
WPI

Going to be rough for the last 4 in

St Olaf will get a Pool C bid. They lost MIAC conference tournament final but were #1 Region IX.

Bias? – I am against pay walls for D3 soccer.
Link – Pay Per View Game Link

   Was set to watch ... but I am not paying.

Just as a future FYI with playsight.  You don't think you actually have to pay, just sign up for free account. Dumb and outdated anyway.

I really appreciate someone bringing up the dump and run style of play and it's prevalence in D3 soccer.  My son has fantastic technical skills, amazing passing and a high soccer IQ and wants to play the beautiful game. He found himself in a collegiate program that has said they were planning to change their style and try to "play." They got a couple of good goal scorers up front and then just opted to bash, kick, run and hope.    It's been a tough and frustrating for him as a player and us, as parents.

I just left the North Park vs Gustavus game. Was disappointed at the amount of embellishment and whining by NP.  They attempted a dive in the box and the initial call of a foul and PK was changed after the AR explained to center official. North Park is such a good team. They don't need to flop.

I must say all the hosts this year with grass fields that I'm aware of have traditionally always been extremely well maintained (CNU, MWU, And W&L) so hopefully field conditions don't have an impact on the results this weekend. Messiahs field is okay, not as nice as the other three which have Short Bermuda grass. I'm just happy there isn't a team like Etown or Muhlenburg hosting whose field could definitely influence a result.

W&L's field is the best field I've ever played on. I was like a damn fairway at Augusta.

Last year Luther's grass field for the first pod was frozen solid and was basically unplayable but had to be played on. It is in a valley and had obviously frozen while the ground was super saturated. Some players wore indoor flats and got better traction. Turf seems preferable this late in the season.

Here's a pod that makes little sense:

North Park - Host
Pacific Lutheran (Washington)

Colorado College
Gustavus Adolphus (Minnesota)

Gustavus has been receiving votes on and off on D3 site rankings and is forced to play a mid 20's ranked team first round.

How does the committee factor in that you have to play everyone in your conference and you can't control how strong your conference is?

American Rivers Conference dominating this year!

Anyone have an idea why St Norbert moved up to 4th?  They beat a mediocre team 1-0 since last poll where they were 6th.

St Thomas and Gustavus Adolphus seem like they should still be above St Norbet.
