Way to go Raiders.  Great game by both teams.

Just because you're named the Raiders doesn't mean you need to play like they do in Oakland.
Nice reference and I second the motion.

I just wanted to congratulate Beaver on breaking a rushing record that took him 15 games to break while the original record was set in just 10.

I had to go back and take a look at the predictions for the Stagg Bowl after the game and came across this prediction.  It gave me a pretty good laugh.

No disrespect at all to Mount Union. What they accomplished for last decade is incredible, probably unmatched, what UWW is striving for. But this UWW team is incredible, unbeatable machine. I hate to see a storied program take one like they will tomorrow but LK game plan wont make a differnce. You could take greatest coaching minds for the last 15 years and put them all on the sideline tomorrow but it wont matter.............

Great game Raiders!  Congratulations to Beaver on breaking the rushing record that Chuck Moore accomplished in 10 games compared to 15.

mucraiders,

I  don't meant the long TD.  I mean the one he caught in the endzone.  I don't think he was trying to make a move then.

Oh, okay.  That one I'm not sure about because I couldn't see well on that play.  The other one happened right in front of me.

mtfan,

but the Cap announcers said on Garcon's second TD he pushed the Cap DB TO THE GROUND!  I will wait for others to comment on it that were there, but I still feel like a lot of the calls went MUC's way.  They always do, but they have earned that.  It is just something that you have always had to accept as an opponent in MUC stadium... MUC will get the benefit of the doubt on all calls.

I was there and yes Garcon did push the Cap DB to the ground, but only after he had caught the ball and was trying to make a move.  That is when he pushed the DB to the ground.  It was an outstanding catch and then a great offensive play.  If you ask mounts fans, most will say that the visiting team gets all the calls while mount gets screwed.  Just depends on the perspective.  Great game today.  Both teams were outstanding and it was a blast to watch.

Hopefully LK takes back the reigns from Campbell and Candle.  This isn't the week to let the young guys get some experience calling the O.

He may start out like he did against MSJ.  Giving those guys a chance, but then quickly start calling plays.  But this is definitely the game you need to score often and quickly.  Starting out with two 3 and outs will not be a great way to begin against Augustana.

mucraiders-
Can't a Mount grad figure out how to use the internet, or did you quote nothing on purpose? ;)
Just stick to telling us all how good JCU is and how Mount got lucky about dropping 70 on your beloved Notre Dame wannabes.

I commend Larry Kehres on a good coaching job this week.  He did something at halftime to get his team back on track.

Yes he did, LK started calling the plays after the half.  In the first half, someone else was calling the plays.

Couple things from the Mount game.  Frist, who was calling the plays during the first half for mount's offense.  It was not LK, because at the start of the second half, Ric said on air, that now LK is calling the plays for the offense.  Just curious.  Also, the stadium was a  little more lively, but still Ma and Pa had a hard time cheering.  They were probably annoyed with the cheerleaders for passing out the noise makers.  Couldn't get their afternoon nap in today.  Finally where has the playaction pass from the JCU game gone? Hopefully the Raiders will step it up or it could be a fun post-season.

I guarantee there is no comparison between the crowd noise at Fawcett during that game and a Mount game!

That doesn't take much though.  I've been to Golf Tournaments that have been louder than Mount Union Football Games.
