Ian is a good kid with a great family.  Tailgated with them the last two season at BSC.  He was our starting kicker last season, and struggled a bit on FG's.  He was never given an opportunity to win us the game at Centre for our last game and no one in the stands was happy with that coaching decision.  It has been a lot of fun the last two weeks watching him succeed at Auburn, he has a very proud Momma right now.   ;D

OK SAA teams, it's playoff time.  Time to represent, I'll be cheering you all on, even if it is the team that kept us from the conference championship two years in a row.

With so many regional matchups we surely need to keep the poll going this season.  For poll reason, the Trinity/UMHB game is the most intriguing. But the first round of the playoffs could completely flip the Region 3 poll as we get games we've been wanting to see all season.

The Gulf South Conference(DII) will be down to 4 football members, they may be willing to add anyone that wants to move to DII and play teams in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and northwest Florida.

I have Maryville at 5th, but do not have ETBU ranked.  I think the only team that has no argument in their ranking is Hardin-Simmons. Everyone else can be argued to be out at just about any spot.

I have TLU at 4th, two spots ahead of Trinity.  Not sure why TLU is getting snubbed by others.

The TLU/McMurry rematch this weekend will be big for the SCAC.

This has been one of the more exciting season in Region 3, except for Hardin-Simmons holding onto that #1 spot, there has been changes every week to the poll.  I've enjoyed it very much.

I miss my Panthers.

I gave a nod to McMurry(5) and Bridgewater(7) this week.  As we are now halfway through the season I'm giving a little forgiveness for those week one losses.  However, McMurry plays Hardin-Simmons and Bridgewater plays Shenandoah.  So it's up to them to keep those spots.  The winner of the Shenandoah/Bridgewater will probably be in the polls after this week.

Great for Tucker to get an opportunity at the next level.  Now I have a reason to watch the CFL.

This is what makes this poll so great, it brings up some great conversation.

I don't have McMurry, TLU or Trinity in my poll if that helps any.  But I do have Guilford in there.  Starting this week we get to see a slate of conference games, so things will inevitably change.

So many changes and variables this past weekend.  I didn't feel like Trinity's win this past weekend was enough to get them back into the poll this week.  UMHB's win was very impressive, but need to see them back it up to move them higher.  This season over previous seasons feels wide open for conference championships.  Not much will be answered this coming weekend, so it'll be two weeks before we probably see more major movement.

Polls this week are going to be very interesting to say the least. I can't wait to see what it looks like.

I think this week was harder to rank than last week. We will learn some things this weekend, but it may take a few weeks to really start getting some clear answers.

I like to disclose my picks, I'm the Averett pick.  I had 3 schools(I think) I could have put there, and just more or less threw a dart at the wall.  I didn't feel Berry deserved to stay this week with a 33-0 beat down at home.  We'll find out this weekend who is the class of Region 3.  I guess that is one good thing out of BSC closing, we got the ODAC/SAA challenge.
