So will they be playing hip hop and rap music at the Bethel stadium this Saturday when the Johnnies come to town like they did last Saturday at Hamline and a few weeks back at Auggie Tech? We will be having a tailgate party outside the stadium this Saturday so join us if you like.

Well, you certainly won't get Hell's Bells played through the loudspeakers while the home team is on D like Olaf did this last week. It's one thing to pump in noise. It's another to leave the music cranking while the opposing team is at the line of scrimmage. On a few occasions, RoyalBU reported the music continued through the ball being snapped. Stay classy Olaf  :P And for the record, I don't think that had anything to do with Bethel losing. We get the blame for that. Just a general trend in keeping with the atmosphere you typically get from the Olaf fans and players. I'd like to think MIAC teams and fans are better than that. At the very least, the school representatives running the sound should be.

Wow. What do you mean by "a general trend in keeping with the atmosphere you typically get from Olaf fans and players"? I know losing two years in a row to Olaf must be tough to swallow, especially after your team got physically dominated last Saturday on both sides of the ball, but give me a break.

Pat -- what does Olaf beating Bethel really mean for the MIAC's pool C situation? Are the Oles really playing for anything next weekend against St. Thomas? Even IF they win, is there a chance? We remember last year that 8-2 and 2nd place in the MIAC doesn't mean anything with all the AQs.

are you guys having problems with the feed?

Is the new seating on the visitors side of the field @ UST reserved?

Not sure what League policy is, but we played a conference night game at Augsburg my freshman year and played a night game at St. Paul Central when Hamline was playing there my Senior year while their new facility was being built.

Where are they putting the lights? Between the track and the bleachers or behind the bleachers entirely?

I'll be heading over to UST tomorrow, cheering for Bethel to take down the Tommies.

Bethel must not have a kicker? Or they are hurt?
MIAC looking good so far.

Is there any live video for the Johnnie/Tommie game?
From Clemens? :o

Don't most of the schools in the MIAC stream live now?

Actually, the best thing for d3 might be to have the NCAA rig it so these 2 teams can't meet in the Stagg, have them meet in the semis so it appears there is some paridy.

I thought WW made MU look human after the first Qtr. I don't know if MU just stopped taking shots because they were ahead or if WW actually kept safeties over the top and stopped coming down hill so hard on PA. Either way, I was flipping back and forth between ESPN2 and ESPN and I thougth both d3 teams executed better than the D1 teams on ESPN. These 2 teams are really well coached and they have great players. I wouldn't be suprised if its the same 2 teams in the Stagg next year.

Congrats the Johnnies. Thats why they play the games.
What a crazy year in the MIAC. There are many "what-if's" like this, but lets say the Johnnies don't block the Oles kick right at the end of regulation and the Oles go onto win that game. We would have a 5 way tie for first place in the MIAC right now. I know you guys have probably hashed this over on this board already, but who would have gone on to the playoffs in that scenario?

Whatever the result of the pairings this afternoon. Good luck.

A Washington Post column on Coach Meidt's transission to the NFL. Hate away. Also, Horace Gant got to play about 3 qtrs last night in the HOF game.

We're in America, burden of proof is on the accuser. Ask your fellow Johnnie judge guy. Looking at the # of posts you guys have it appears you have more time to look into it.

news flash.
Meidt leaving Olaf for the  Redskins under Jim Zorn.
On the Olaf website.

$25 says the 'Skins lead the NFL in personal foul penalties next year! :o

The MIAC lead followed him when he left Bethel for Olaf, why not now?

Kilted, I'm calling you out. Show me some evidence that the Oles lead the league in personal fouls. I don't believe it. Stop making stuff up.

Agree about how D2 has fallen in recent years. The NCC used to be the best d2 conference in the nation, but with NDSU, SDSU, and Northern Colorado leaving - and with UND and USD to follow - it's obviously been decimated, from football to women's basketball.

Still, they must still be getting pretty good players at the D2 schools in the midwest considering a 4-7 SCSU team handled Whitewater by 10 points.

I think this was the last year of the NCC. The remainder of the conference is joining the Northern Sun from what I've heard. Very interesting.

Anyone heard anymore information on the St. Thomas or Luther jobs?
