Tufts is not in the Pool C conversation at all. So they can't be at the top. 13-9 is not a NCAA tournament team without an automatic bid. I think a lot of people are much higher on Tufts future then I am. Brandon Linton is an unproven coach who won in his lone year at Nichols ... which Nichols is now on to their 4th coach in 4 years and all of them have gone to the tournament. Not sure what that means but I don't think that means we can just say Tufts will be good. Heard through the grape vine that some of the above mentioned players are leaving Tufts.

Tufts has zero chance at a Pool C bid and will definitely win the tournament to get it. Just don't see that happening. They've been better with Rogers but there's a lot size on Williams and Wesleyan to compete with him. Tufts doesn't have much else besides Rogers and the future is looking shaky for the Jumbos at best. Have to think there will be some turnover.

Can we finally end this Amherst talk? The faked it for 8 games and are now paying the price. Overwhelming bad teams with their size isn't a successful strategy in the NESCAC.

Why does Amherst get the benefit of the doubt no matter what? This isn't the Hixon groups from the early 2000's. This is a group that has played one of the easiest schedules in the country (well documented on here) and the only two tough opponents they've played they are 0-2 and haven't looked good outside of Day. McCarthy has played on game this year and is a career 6 ppg guy. I just don't think saying him and Robinson will change everything. People on here keep talking about the player Grant Robinson was in 2018-19 ... its 2022. It might be time to accept he's not the player that was coming to Amherst with a ton of hype around him. Think it's time to let the 8-0 start go and come back to reality with what Amherst is. They have a lot of inexperienced players and no one that can consistently make a shot outside of Day.

I don't disagree with the takes about how it looks from a visual standpoint for Colby and the little 3 but I think we are giving more benefit to looking good against terrible competition and not enough credit to Colby for playing tough teams. Outside of Thomas they have really challenged themselves. It's easy to look good beating up on the basement of D3. If Colby played 5 games against the bottom of the division I think we would be talking about them differently. We all can agree they have the best player in the junior class, the best player in the sophomore class, and Lawson who looks like the 3rd ROY in a row. Just think we have to stop comparing them to the 19-20 team. They can still be an elite team and not shoot the way 19-20 team did.

Tough game for Colby but boy did Tyson look good. Making that POY looking more and more realistic.

Very surprising. A lot of Midwest presence on the All-American teams. Rightfully so they have a track record of high level talent. I think theres two players everyone will be talking about in the next few weeks ... Noah Tyson and Sam Peek. Tyson averaged 19 & 11 in the NESCAC tournament when the Mules were basically without Sam Jefferson and Alex Dorion. He's finished top 10 in rebounding every year of his career. I know Colby hasn't been getting much respect but I think that changes soon and Tyson will be a big reason why. Peek is an absolute monster and finished the 19-20 season strong. He is a sure fire 1st team guy and depending on Wesleyans success could be in for some national recognition. Really enjoy watching him play. Do it all guard that doesn't seem to have a weakness

Old man here. Just recently learned about this forum and got excited when I saw how active it was. Following the NESCAC has always been a joy. Such great basketball. Really have loved what Colby and Connecticut College have been doing over the last couple seasons. Interested to see what their young guys look like. I believe Colby has had the last two ROY in Noah Tyson and Will King. That has to be somewhat rare I would imagine in such a great league. Excited to see what the new coaches in the league do.

Any idea what the league will look like this year? Tough to tell with so many teams not playing last year and a lot of new coaches in the league
