Quote from: Scoops on August 17, 2023, 06:45:53 PMBates is moving in on Tuesday...guessing the other schools are similar.
Does anyone know when report day is around the league? I feel like most years the teams would have reported by now, am I wrong there?

I'm new to the conference, so take this information with a grain of salt! According to everything I've seen on social media, these are the numbers- thus far- for the class of 2027 in the NESCAC I'm sure not all of the schools have finished their announcements, and I haven't seen any from Williams yet):
Bates adding 39 recruits.
Trinity adding 32.
Wesleyan adding 28.
Middlebury adding 26.
Amherst adding 24.
Hamilton adding 23.
Colby adding 22.
Tufts adding 15.
Bowdoin adding 13.
Williams hasn't announced any that I've seen yet.
Obviously these lists are fluid and will go up/down. They do give a pretty good indication of what roster sizes could look like next season. By just subtracting listed Seniors from last season's rosters, and adding the incoming first year's, the following numbers give us a starting point for roster size (this doesn't take into account any transfers or other subtractions, so it's just a rough estimate).
Trinity- 105
Wesleyan- 103
Middlebury- 100
Amherst- 96
Bates- 94
Colby- 90
Tufts- 89
Hamilton- 82
Bowdoin- 73

Ironhorse-
Congratulations to your son. Enjoy the next 4 years, it's gone before you know it.
Where is your son going?
Thank you. Judging from your posts that I've read, I'm guessing you'll be glad to hear he will be playing for Coach Coyne at Bates. Looking forward to some tailgating in New England over the next few years! Hopefully I'll get to cross paths with some of you along the way. I definitely enjoy the insights and passion expressed here.

I've enjoyed this board as an observer for the better part of a year, and I guess I'm now here to stay. Though my son committed to play at a NESCAC school this summer, we refused to count our chickens prior to his official acceptance- which he received last week. I look forward to keeping up with the board a bit more actively now that I have a dog in the hunt. Congratulations to all of the ED1 students and families who received good news this month.

New to the board and to the NESCAC. Excited to learn the conference, and look forward to reading the posts as the season gets underway.
Welcome to the Board Iron. Hopefully, based on your screen name, you are a Yankee fan in addition to being a NESCAC fan.
I am....so hopefully, for the next several weeks, my attention will be occupied with both football and baseball games.

Greetings...I'm new to Southern California and am looking forward to watching football at different levels in the fall. One question I have about the SCIAC is why are teams duplicated on the schedule? I was looking over Claremont's schedule and noticed they play two teams twice...appears they did the same last season? Has this always been the case?
