The similarities between Jung and Koi Perich are stunning. Tough return guy, ballhawk in secondary and wildcard on offense.

Not saying he's at the same level or that he will have similar success, but it'll be fun to follow his career. Wish that kid nothing but the best.

The key there might be resultS. Tough to throw out one H2H, much less two, especially given similar results vs. SU.

Photo by Todd Allred, colleague of mine at USA Today who we hired to come shoot for us that weekend. He has since passed away and is gone long, long too soon.
Great shot.

Looks like then-SID Michael Hemmesch was right on the spot for that one.

Indeed. I was standing in front of the play. I'd left the stands because my grade-school age son and his buddy had gone to that flat area on the hill behind the endzone to play catch with a ball they gave out in the pre-game clinic.

Salem was a great host.

Quote from: Pat Coleman on December 09, 2024, 07:43:51 PMI believe that rule is different in the NFL which is actually the cause of a lot of beef from fans at games who don't realize.
Not unlike the PBP guy in the 2nd round who said the receiver "just couldn't get two feet down "

Interesting stuff on Susquehanna qb.

Son of former Maryland Gov. Bob Ehrlich, who was captain of Princeton team. While high school creds aren't a guarantee or even an indicator of college success, the son has done well. Attended the same school as my last boss's kids. He was county player of the year in the Annapolis area, which produces some solid talent. That award usually goes to a guy from private school powers like Archbishop Spalding Honorable mention in the Washington Post's All-Met and was the QB for Maryland in an annual showdown with Pennsylvania.  Transferred from Marist, where he appeared in one Pioneer League game as a freshman.

Pretty mobile kid. I hope the d line plants him deep in the backfield with regularity.

Confirming what we saw through our red blinders.

Pro Football Focus' five highest-graded 49ers players on offense against the Bills.

Dominick Puni, RG, 89.3, 48 snaps
Ben Bartch, LG, 78.4, 48 snaps
Jauan Jennings, WR, 77.0, 46 snaps
Christian McCaffrey, RB, 76.9, 12 snaps
Jaylon Moore, LT, 76.1, 48 snaps

Says the guy whose team got to play the tournament's most laughable No. 2 seed. 😁

Seriously, though, I thought I read somewhere that the dials were set closer to the needs of the non-power leagues. I have no idea if that is true, but if next year's field is similar, there needs to be some adjustment.

A bit surprised by the early Logan Hansen projection on Susquehanna. They look dangerous given their earlier result vs. Cortland. I watched some of their Hobart game. Quickfooted QB and RB. Podcast confirmed my thoughts that this might be an Aurora-esque matchup.

Heal fast, ROR! Cracked ribs are rough.

Maybe Whitworth should sell that cute endzone bouncy house to a preschool and upgrade their video.

Great stuff. Lake Forest drops like a stone. That it gets a No. 2 seed is Exhibit 1 about the need to tweak.

Kissed of death for the Johnnies: Both Frank and Baker of "Inside the D3 (East) Huddle" pick SJU over a Royals team led by "Drew Cooper."
