Excellent stuff, Kuiper, and highlights just how even most of these teams are in the west.

One detail of note while watching the Willamette v. C-M-S game was the high quality of the Willamette play-by-play. Skeet Starr was the student commentating, and I found their work to be exceptional.

And now for the Northwest Massey Rankings:

28   Pac Lutheran
53   Willamette
96   Whitman
128   Puget Sound
163   Whitworth
231   George Fox
242   Pacific OR
260   Linfield

I can't say I am surprised by the order of teams -- the Lutes have been consistently good for a few years now. One exciting feature of this season is how many cross-conference games we will have between Northwest, SCIAC, and SCAC teams due to Trinity hosting a couple of early-season tournaments. It'll be an authentic wild west shootout!

I missed the bit where we discussed why Toulson left Emerson. Looks like they had a good season. What happened?

With McKersie named head coach at Emerson, seems like Toulson to Kenyon makes sense ...

No clue...and only beginning to think about....

Dan Toulson

Travis Wall....can't imagine an OWU guy would go to Kenyon but that would be petty,  right? More likely he's got at least a soft promise with OWU or being a Minnesota guy perfectly happy in Northfield.

Would love the other OWU star down in Granville...but he looks set for life.

The irony is that Darren Moore lives in Granville.

Saw J. Sitch in an ESPN commercial last night while watching the NBA draft with footage of her celebrating title with her former team in Roanoke.

Thanks @bubbabeans!  Nice to have someone else interested in the SCIAC.  Here are a few more I have been meaning to post:

I'm a teacher that just entered the blessed summer season so I finally have time to dig around social media. Just waiting on Cal Luth, Chapman, La Verne, and Oxy!

I enjoyed getting the opportunity to talk to Rod Lafaurie, Head Men's Coach at Occidental College.  Always interesting to get the perspective of a coach from the West coast.

Rod Lafaurie, Head Men's Coach at Occidental

Very exciting to see west coast schools getting the SC treatment. And I need to say that the Oxy ID Camp was by far the best experience my player had during the soccer recruitment process -- individualized feedback from coaches, a nice variety of schools represented, and fantastic weather. If things had worked out to where my player had picked Oxy, I would have been very happy. Coach Lafaurie was pure class throughout the whole thing.
