Sorry to say Mrs. Hoover didn't make the "Legends of Knights gym" volleyball team.

Oh well at least they won't change the name of the stadium for a while.

Also the second of the two brothers (Wilbur Schield) WC football stadium Schield Stadium passed away last week.

Sherden is DONE

From Decorah Newspaper

*Sherden will miss 2006 grid season*

Luther junior Tyler Sherden from Rochester, Minn. will miss the 2006 campaign while recovering from off-season surgery. Sherden, who has one year of eligibility remaining, will return for his final season in 2007.

During the 2005 season, Sherden competed in five games before an injury against Coe Oct. 1 cut his season short. He gained 754 yards rushing on 137 attempts (5.3 yards per carry) and scored 11 touchdowns. He also caught 10 passes for 107 yards and returned four kickoff returns for 83 yards.

Sherden nabbed all-Iowa conference honors in 2004 when he led the conference in rushing with 1,057 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also led the league in all-purpose yards (217.5 yards per game).

Walston,
You'd better have that daughter plan on something rather than swimming @ "Be Orange" College. The pool will not have diving well so college level (as well as HS girls) swimming/diving  will be tough to host. Also  6 lanes is NCAA minimum but not ideal for team training/ meets.

If you need more info conact me.

WH Stadium Area News - With the construction of the Wartburg-Waverly Wellness center the scoreboard @ WH stadium will be relocated to the NE corner of the stadium. ( Visitor side towards the street) So let's hope the weather is overcast on home game Saturday's , because it may be hard to read the scoreboard on bright sunny days.

FYI- locker rooms under home side seats are underway, time table is completion BEFORE camp opens.

Some walls at wellness center are above ground level.

The demise of the home of many great game plans.
The former home football offices were used a "fireman practice" area on Saturday as part of the clearing the area for Wartburg Waverly Wellness center. See LINK
