Did I miss something? Williams posted their all-Nescac selections and the rest of the league didn't? I reviewed the Nescac website and nothing there either.

Exciting to see the progressions during the season. Bates went off, Colby and Bowdoin weren't easy outs, and Hamilton played everyone tough.
The league and players only get better as a whole when the parity is more even.
Hats off to all the players, coaches and parents for another great season.

Looking forward to post-Covid 2025 football already.

Absolutely love the Colby and Wesleyan picks!
Good luck to many of the players who may be strapping on the helmets with their brothers for the last time. You have a lot to be proud of, and a lot of people who in-turn are proud of you. Enjoy the game and leave it all on the field boys!

It has been crickets from the student/player at Middlebury...some legend guy?
Was fun while it lasted.

How so with a triple option?

I totally agree that Trinity has been the best team this year. Watching how Wesleyan has won games this season doesn't make me think that week 9 will go their way.

Quote from: Charlie on October 23, 2024, 08:21:43 PMHave been reading about people geting upset at Amherst football. I do have a question and I do not know if there is any data to help. IS there any data of financial contributions made from football alumni of NESCAC schools. The reason I ask is that only when football Alumni who are raising money for the program gets tired of there College loosing every year will they have any influence on admissions on how many athletes are allowed in and there bands.

The contributions may sway a school and turn arounds programs.Only way for football programs to do so and also better recruiting.

Absolutely the alumni hold a lot of power and influence with the administration. Not the AD administration, the big dogs in the corner offices. Athletics are a business at these schools, don't mistake that for a moment.

Quote from: muleshoe on October 19, 2024, 07:18:24 PMGreat day in the 'Cac!!

Mules looked played as complete a game as I've seen in a long while, truly firing on all cylinders. Drake was fantastic with 4 TDs and getting 9 different receivers involved. O-line did just enough in the run game to keep the LMs defense honest.

Defense held Amherst to just 131 yards total (-3 on the ground!) including 3 sacks and not allowing a single 3rd down conversion.

Fantastic day on the Hill.

Was also able to catch the last drive of the game in VT - what a finish! But what was Trinity doing on defense that drive? It looked like the safety's were at 10 yards, when all they couldn't do was give up a TD. Giving up that post on 3rd down at the 35 was rough. Wish I could have seen the TD catch but camera angle got cut off.

Not sure if Midd can keep playing with fire like this and run the table for another title, but they seem to have a habit of pulling these ones out. Kudos to them.
It was nice to see a complete game for the Mules on both sides of the ball. Minimal penalties certainly helped.
372 yards of offense on the Amherst defense? Mules starting to click or is Amherst that bad?

Btw. Nescac tuition/room/board prices are $82-85K now.

@Trin9-0,
That is pretty darn impressive!

Should be an offensive battle this weekend in Waterville! I would expect a high-scoring game between Amherst and Colby!
Ok...moving on from that.
Trinity at Middlebury should be a great game. I am curious to what you folks think about the early spread?
