Central only has six losses in the past three years and five of those losses are to: Whitewater, Wartburg twice, Coe twice. Cal Lu is hoping Central goes to the Angels/Astros game Friday night (dodgers are on the road), surf lessons in Malibu at 5 am Saturday morning, do a team 5k and then show up to the 1pm game.

Are most of the SCIAC schools scrimmaging this weekend? Does anybody have any info on who they are scrimmaging against? I know Chapman plays Golden West College every year and Cal Lu usually plays against Moorpark.

2) In regards to UR picked tie for 3rd, they deserve that ranking given last year lack of performance, however starting QB is back from his broken leg, appears to have hit the weight room and looking really good (hope he stays healthy). UR might be as athletic as anyone in the league, so lets see if that translates...UR is the sleeper this year and as usual it will come down to line play, feeling good about the defense despite the loss of a couple studs...but the O line has to come thru, UR has some studs at the skill spots...

Big year for the northwest conference. Coach Sandberg has been building Whitworth into a consistent winning program the past ten years. Obviously not on the level of Linfield but he's an impressive 77-22 so far with two NWC titles. Seems like he's built a good culture over there. It's nice to see Linfield have some competition.

yep, the face of the SCIAC has definitely changed over the years. The SCIAC is always fun to watch and this year will be no different. I'm excited for the season to start! Olddog, what's the word from Redlands camp this summer? I expect the Bulldogs to be ready from the get go.

Thanks Fox,
I could provide a data on donors, profile, demographics etc...but most folks don't like data that confronts their beliefs. Go study what has happened at UC Berkley and starting at UCLA...

Old dog, go get Maynard to come out of retirement. Jk old dog, I don't want to hear a rant how you wouldn't be able to get him to unretire because he was pushed out by feminists/communists and this world is too soft for real men to flourish. But seriously, Redlands better get with the times instead of yelling at people to get off their lawn. Time is moving forward, not back. Pomona plays on a pop Warner field and CMS has sand traps in the middle of theirs but they've figured out the landscape. Redlands facilities are good enough to win. Besides all that, Chapman vs Pomona in the inaugural SCIAC championship game, should be a good one.

SCIAC predictions for the weekend:
It should be an interesting match up between Pomona and Redlands. Pomona is always a tough place to play. Redlands defense against the new look run first/QB Sagehens. This game is for all the marbles to go to the championship so expect a few trick plays from Pomona and a pumped up defense for Redlands. I expect a low scoring game with Pomona coming away with the W due to a late turnover. Pomona wins by a fg.
CMS vs CLU should be a dominant performance by the CMS defense. Cal Lu has some decent skill positions/QB but their O-line hasn't been good for the past five years. Edwards has a big game and CMS by three scores.
Chapman vs ULV should be a win for Chapman. Chapman started out slow but they seem to be getting better every week. Chapman wins by three scores.
